All informants may choose to remain anonymous, only having their information identified with a code number to protect the caller's identity. If the information given to Crimestoppers leads to an arrest, a cash reward could be received.

If a staff member of the Prosecutor's office determines there is a probable cause to believe a crime was committed, the reporting party may be asked to sign a criminal complaint.
