A service provided to assist individuals who qualify for the Expedited Pardon Project to fill out and complete their application and forms.

Investigates suspected cases of abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation of Preble County residents ages 60 and up. Also provides case management and community collaboration to alleviate the alleged abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation.

Assists with completing and submitting forms for needed social services, such as government benefit programs.

The Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) provides rental assistance to very low income families, allowing them the opportunity to live in decent, safe, and affordable housing. HCV Programs are funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and administered by public housing agencies throughout the country. The Knox Metropolitan Housing Authority (KMHA) administers the HCVP Program in Knox County.

Provides information and referral services as a department of the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library. Database of information includes government, non-profit, and social service organizations. Additional services include: * Directory assistance * Time, temperature, and weather information * Post disaster reporting * Faxing and copying services (free for social service needs) * Printing travel directions

Offers in-house and outreach therapy counseling, case management and advocacy for older adults and their families. Provides assistance with medical and/or insurance forms. Transportation available with prior arrangement.

Staff at the Day Shelter can assist indiduals with obtaining birth certificates, social security cards and assist with completing various types of applications.

Investigates reports of abused, neglected, or exploited seniors AGED 60 AND OLDER; includes referrals for in-home services and assistance in obtaining financial or medical benefits.

Provides social services to families and individuals experiencing barriers with accessing public benefits and community resources. Services include (but are not limited to) public benefit application assistance, resource education, referrals to access community resources, and replacement of vital documents.

Assists individuals with completing Living Wills and Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care. Also assists individuals with completing paperwork that is required to respond to legal action and reviews legal documentation an individual has received to help explain its meaning.

Provides a legal clinic at Juvenile Court for those seeking assistance in filling out the pro se or do-it-yourself forms from the Clerk's office. The forms range from grandparents seeking custody or visitation, parents trying to establish custody, visitation or paternity, among other issues. Legal assistance IS NOT PROVIDED with divorce cases or custody cases resulting from divorce.

Offers personal visits for companionship, help in filling out paperwork and library materials and magazines to anyone age 60 or over.

Provides a central location where the public and attorneys can obtain forms and basic information necessary to pursue their domestic relations cases (including divorce). Individuals unfamiliar with the Court’s procedures may pick up packages of the documents needed for certain types of cases (including forms for those who need to modify their custody agreement). Computers are also available for completing some forms and calculating child support guideline worksheets. Does not provide legal advice. Cannot help individuals prepare paperwork, but can let people know in advance of their court appearance what is needed and what to expect when they come to court.

Provides support to those navigating the refugee/immigration process such as helping clients with filling out and submitting documents related to their refugee status and/or immigration case (such as applying for green cards, various immigration papers, and/or travel documents). Gives advice on test preparation, what to expect during the process, and what questions to expect during interviews with government officials. Provides basic information on how to prepare for obtaining employment (filling out applications, what to wear, how to handle job interviews). Provides translation assiatnce (English to Somali). Does not give legal advice (but will refer the client to the appropriate agencies if they need it).

Presented by Pickaway WORKS in partnership with the financial aid office of Ohio Christian University, personal assistance is given to students and their families with completion of the FAFSA, the necessary first step in the financial aid process.

Provides HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) applications and will assist older adults with completion of the HEAP application. Provides information on telephone discounts and also information regarding the Summer and Winter Crisis Programs through the Ohio Development Services Agency.

Provides opportunity to complete a variety of legal forms with simple answers to guided questions. Included forms are simple wills, civil protection orders, simple divorce forms, criminal record expungement, waivers of court filing fees, living wills, health care powers of attorney, and more.

Offers information and referral, telephone reassurance, outreach, transportation, homemakers, friendly visitors, insurance assistance, chore service, senior activity center, (trips, socialization/recreation, crafts, etc.), HEAP assistance, job bank, newsletters, income tax assistance, Golden Buckeye sign-up, Coats for Seniors and consumer advocacy.

Provides outreach services which include transportation to medical appointments; home visiting; assistance with tax and insurance forms and applications. Also a site for the Golden Buckeye program.
