Program includes a focus on: Language Arts; Math; Social Studies and Social Skills; Science; Independence. We guide children through fine arts experiences such as music, help them develop fine, & gross motor skills through physical education classes that enhance your child’s athletic ability, and practice social & self-help skills. You will receive regular reports of your child’s progress and have the opportunity to attend private parent-teacher conferences. Flying Colors staff is committed to educating children and creating stronger families. Parent workshops help you understand your child’s strengths and weaknesses and aid in your child’s transition to kindergarten. We offer a highly-recognized autism program, developed by a team of child-development experts. Newark City Schools offers Little Learners Preschool at 1440 Granville Rd., Suite G, in Newark. Classes are taught by a certified teacher andpreschool classes run Monday-Thursday. Half day sessions that are four days a week with a morning session, 8:45am-11:30pm, and an afternoon session, 12:45pm-3:30pm. Also offers full day classes that meet Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday 8:45am-3:30pm. Students are bussed to and from school in compliance with the NCS Transportation Policy.

EPIC Preschool helps prepare your child for a lifelong love of learning. Right now our program is just for potty trained 3-5 year olds, but with enough support and need, we hope to open another classroom soon. We take pride in offering a unique, well rounded educational experience for the littlest members of our organziation. Lunch and snack are provided from our new and improved Living Rivers Cafe located right here at ECEF.

Promotes language and literacy for children who are deaf, hard of hearing, or deafblind, ages 6 weeks to 6 years, and assist their families in preparing them to enter Kindergarten, ready to learn.

Serves families with children ages three to four years of age and are potty trained. The Early Learning Program is ideal for those families who need a part time preschool program for their child. Families can enroll for a full day or in the afternoon program. The Early Learning Program curriculum is based on the “Creative Curriculum.” Learning Opportunities are provided daily to the children that stimulate their cognitive, social-emotional and physical development. The program also follows the Ohio Early Learning Developmental Standards for preschool. Educated preschool teachers align the learning activities with the standards and each child’s individual development. Our program is unique in that Early Childhood Education students are student teachers in the classroom daily implementing developmentally appropriate activities with the children under the supervision of a licensed Early Childhood Education Instructor, Preschool teacher and teaching assistant.

Hopewell School offers two school age classrooms for students ages 6-21. Classes are provided for children who meet the eligibility requirements for students with multiple disabilities and their IEP team has determined that Hopewell School is the least restrictive environment for the student. The school age teachers use the Attainment Curriculum which focuses on academics, social skills, self-care skills, life skills and communication. Throughout the day you may see the students doing laundry, identifying money, shredding paper, sorting silverware, and working on hygiene skills. The school provides speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, aquatic therapy, and adaptive physical education in order to meet the individual needs of all students.
