Offers guidance, instruction, and training for daily life activities for immigrants new to region. - Provides assistance with navigating various systems, teaching minor home repair, money management, and completing paperwork such as immigration forms and obtaining a driver's license. - Assists with obtaining appropriate clothing, basic household items, and accessing programs that provide material assistance. - Assists with school enrollments and in-home English tutoring and small group instruction for adults.

Provides English language classes to Hispanic/Latino immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.

Provides a comprehensive course designed for students needing the academic skills necessary to pass the GED test. The school is an official testing center designated by the State of Ohio. English, science, math, literature, and social studies are covered with a practical test offered to help students determine areas needed to pass the actual test.

Provides a consumer-operated program which helps participants have self-confidence and empowers them to achieve their goals. Goals include increased social interaction, increased community engagement, increased education and self-awareness regarding medical-psychiatric conditions and treatment needs and reduction in the need for in patient medical-psychiatric treatment.

Provides opportunities for students to practice literacy skills and study for the GED via computer-based software. Students can work from home, a local library, or other location with reliable Internet access.

Provides empowerment programs, including General Educational Development (GED) preparatory classes, college preparation, life skills, job readiness and mentorship program. GED classes are provided in partnership with Ternion Training Education Center.

Provides 12 hours weekly in English as a Second Language instruction for women and children.

Provides auditing of university classes (on a space-available basis), use of physical education facilities, computer labs, and the Career Services Center. No degree may be earned with classes taken through this project. Some classes require permission.

Provides career and vocational assessment and counseling for unemployed or underemployed individuals looking for a career change. Also offers assistance with resume-writing, interviewing skills, and job search activities.

The Ohio Means Jobs – Athens County, Aspire program provides classes and individual instruction for adults who wish to improve their basic skills and/or prepare for the General Equivalence Diploma (GED) test, which can now be taken at Tri-County Career Center. The Aspire program provides small group and individual instruction in the following areas: - Basic literacy skills - GED exam preparation - Math - Language Arts - Social Studies - Life skills - Employability skills - Basic computer skills.

Provides leadership training with a focus on implementing youth development programs. Program teaches the basic skills of becoming a leader and collaborating with other leadership styles. Includes a series on verbal presentation and facilitation. It also provides basic tools and skills to support a youth program, including how to develop program planning and grant writing. This program is designed for organizations that have a youth leadership team.

Provides training, conferences, and independent study courses on a variety of disaster issues such as disaster preparedness, disaster mitigation, and coping with disasters. Some courses offer CEU's.

Child protective services for children between the ages of birth and 18; investigates cases of child abuse/neglect/sexual abuse/incest and dependency of children, family assessment; case management services for children/families with open cases; kinship care; foster care; foster parent/home licensing, training; adoption/post adoption services; independent youth living services.

Provides English as a Second Language classes.

Offers workshops about mental health, alcohol, tobacco, or other drug use, and gambling addiction, including prevention, treatment, or intervention issues.

Offers English language instruction for people who speak or want to learn English as their non-primary language. Accommodates various skill levels. Covers four aspects of language education: speech, writing, comprehension, and listening.
