OIC of Clark County has offers a variety of training courses. These courses offer personal and career development, and employment opportunities. Training opportunities include: Forklift and Certified Logistics Training GED Preparation / High School Diploma, Workforce Preparation and Job Search.

A 501(C)(3) non-profit organization. Services offered include: the Professional Development Center vocational school providing welding and machining program, STNA training and Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistance (CDCA) training; job readiness and placement assistance; GED tutoring; Working Toward the Future Program; GROW Urban Farm; nutritionally assisted alcohol and drug treatment with Spanish speaking available; Eagle's Nest Recovery House. Guidance available for those wishing to expunge criminal records.

Provides free English language instruction for those learning English as a second language.

Provides training and speakers designed to equip and empower community members, social service providers, and families and caregivers with the tools they need to provide care and support for victims and survivors of trafficking, specifically the minor population.

Provides professional development workshops that focus on achieving statewide curriculum, achievement, and academic standards for education and school administration professionals. CEUs and PEUs available at end of training; some workshops offer college credit.

Provides a variety of adult literacy services. Service includes classes in basic reading and math, classes that refine skills to take the GED test (the equivalent of a high school diploma), computer skills classes, and a program to help refresh the skills of those aiming for higher education after experiencing a gap in their schooling.

Offers basic academic skills training to prepare for official GED testing, including GED practice testing. Individual, small group, and computer-based instruction available. Also serves as a GED testing site.

Provides a mandatory program for pregnant and/or parenting youth who receive OWF (Ohio Works First) benefits to encourage them to receive their high school diploma or GED and to become self-sufficient. Program provides a case manager to offer support to clients and monitor their progress. LEAP provides monetary rewards for moving from one grade to the next and for completing high school or earning a GED. Participants MAY be eligible for a child care subsidy only if there is no other appropriate person who can assist - family has the primary responsibility for this service.

Offers assistance for individuals preparing to take the GED. Tutoring is provided by certified volunteers.

Education and information in family and consumer sciences topics including family health and wellness, food safety, nutrition, basic budgeting, parenting, canning and freezing foods, family strengths, etc.

Provides education to health care professionals on new research and medication about Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

Non-credit classes especially for seniors and an opportunity to audit scheduled academic classes

Parenting group focusing on positive ways to parent young children. Child sitting available if needed. Classes are seven 2-hour sessions from October 7- November 18, 2021held at Alta's Campus of Care location at 1960 E. County Line Road, Mineral Ridge, Ohio.

Free course that focuses on developing the four key language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, to help students become fluent and confident in the English language. *Daytime and evening classes are offered at various locations.

Adult Diploma Program Options: Customer & Office Support Technologies (C.O.S.T.), Dental Assisting, Nail Technician, Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Gas Metal Arc (Mig) Welding, Construction and Welding Fundamentals, and Precision Machining/CNC Technology. Short-term workforce/personal interest classes for quick skills or just for recreation. Customized training services for employers, businesses, and organizations.

Our clients take part in an 11-week course. The first 2 weeks are Career Boot Camp where students learns the ins-and-outs of the employment landscape including soft skills training, resumes and cover letters and financial advice. The final 8 weeks are devoted to CompTIA A+ class. After the exams, we help students complete paid internship opportunities or obtain employment!

Provides a variety of personal enrichment activities, including, but not limited to, classes to develop English-speaking skills when the individual's first language is not English, sign language, homework help, computer classes, films, and arts and crafts.

Provides classes to improve English speaking and writing skills and to prepare for citizenship tests.

Provides career and vocational assessment and counseling for unemployed or underemployed individuals looking for a career change. Also offers assistance with resume-writing, interviewing skills, and job search activities.

Provides grief counseling to children, teens and adults after the loss of a loved one. Counseling services are offered on an individual, family or group basis depending on need. Offers grief education and support to the local community including school and workplace support and continuing education.

Offers a program October-April for adults to learn English. Festa Friends Club offers children's programming for ages 3 months to 18 years. Children are offered academic support and supervised pro-social recreational activities while parents are attending classes.
