Provides individuals with disabilities and other needs with adult literacy instruction, computerized remediation, and GED preparation so that barriers affecting employment are removed.

Trained instructors work individually with students to improve reading, writing, and arithmetic. These pre-GED classes are designed to help students get better jobs, become wiser shoppers, and broaden their worlds. This free assistance helps the student to begin the basics necessary to ultimately pass their GED.

Program assists with: * Refreshing academic skills * Earning a High School Equivalence (GED or HiSET) * Preparing for an industry credential program or college entrance * Building career skills to obtain an in-demand job or retain current job * Learn English as a Speaker of Other Languages - ESOL

Provides a variety of adult literacy services. Service includes classes in basic reading and math, classes that refine skills to take one of the tests that serves as the equivalent of a high school diploma, high school equivalency testing, classes to develop English-speaking skills when a first language is not English, and the opportunity for eligible individuals to complete requirements for a high school diploma by passing a job skills test and completing job training in health care, manufacturing, logistics, food preparation, emergency services or construction. Successful fulfillment of job skills test and job training result in a high school diploma as well as any earned certificate.

ABLE/GED is an educational program for adults who wish to inhance their basic skills in math, reading, and writing and to prepare for the GED test.

The Aspire program provides classes and individual instruction for adults who wish to improve their basic skills and/or prepare for the General Equivalence Diploma (GED) test. The GED exam is now computer-based and includes 4 modules: - Science (90 minutes); - Social Studies (90 minutes); - Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA)(150 minutes); - Mathematical Reasoning (115 minutes) Each module costs $30; the entire battery of 4 modules costs $120.

COLLEGE ASPIRE offers FREE hands-on, engaging summer workshops in technology based programs. Open to youth ages 10-18 and taught by college faculty on a college campus, COLLEGE ASPIRE demonstrates to both students and their families that college is accessible in their community and possible regardless of their circumstances.

Provides career and vocational assessment and counseling for unemployed or underemployed individuals looking for a career change. Also offers assistance with resume-writing, interviewing skills, and job search activities.

Accepts all adult learners of all levels. Basic literacy, GED test prep, ESOL, financial planning, employment support, and college readiness. Every student is assessed and provided an individual learning plan and assigned instructor.

Provides adult education/GED classes, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and instruction in reading, math and English with particular emphasis on preparing students for the GED test.

The Adult Diploma Program at C-TEC’s Adult Education Center is a new opportunity for any resident of Ohio who is 20 years old or older, and does not already have a High School Diploma or GED credential. Learning is student-centered, self-paced and begins with a Career Pathway in mind. From student orientation, career counseling, assessment and enrichment classes, to technical training that leads to an industry approved credential, this program is designed to provide support and promote success during and after graduation. Adult Diploma participants will receive their High School Diploma upon successful completion of the credential program, and acquiring the designated industry credential for their assigned program.
