The PromiseCorps Literacy Enhancement program serves students in grades Kindergarten through third in four elementary schools in Springfield, Ohio: Kenwood, Lincoln, Perrin Woods, and Fulton, in addition to Kindergarten Readiness preparation at early childhood education sites in Springfield. Opportunities exist for both Springfield residents to serve as leaders providing one-on-one literacy support to children in the elementary or pre-school setting, as well as advocacy for parents and families to receive educational services and opportunities.

Provides homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and encourages members to become self-directed learners. Designed specifically to help kids and teens with homework, this program is available after school at Clubs. Dedicated youth development professionals and volunteers supervise each session and help youth members complete their assignments for the day. When they finish their work, they may choose to participate in a variety of other engaging and educational activities to develop their skills even further.

Project Springboard is a comprehensive family literacy program that integrated adult, early childhood, and parenting education as well as parent and child together time. Adults and children attend programming together at The Clark enter. Parents will work to brush up on basic skills or work towards obtaining an Ohio High School Equivalency Diploma (GED) while children are participating in an Early Childhood program. Transportation and Child care services are provided.

Passport Acceptance Facility: Department of State approved facility to accept in-person applications for new passports. Accepts the application form, performs all initial checks, administers oath and accepts payment. **NOTE** Does not provide passport photos. Notary Public Services: Provides notary services for individuals only. **NOTE** * The library will not provide witnesses and witnesses may not be solicited from library staff or patrons using the library. In order to serve as a witness, the witness must personally know the person whose document is being notarized and must be in possession of valid photo identification. * Notary services are not available for the following: mortgage or real estate documents, employment eligibility verification I-9 forms, certification of vital records (birth, marriage, death), auto titles without the buyer’s address and name. * Notaries cannot provide legal advice. * Notaries reserve the right to refuse to notarize any document. Career Online High School: Online high school diploma and career certification program. **NOTE** This is not a GED program. Successful graduates will earn a high school diploma through an accredited high school. Adult Literacy Program: Provides tutoring service to adults with low literacy skills.
