Offers family literacy providing ABLE/GED students with early childhood literacy and parenting skills through the Even Start Program.

Passport Acceptance Facility: Department of State approved facility to accept in-person applications for new passports. Accepts the application form, performs all initial checks, administers oath and accepts payment. **NOTE** Does not provide passport photos. Notary Public Services: Provides notary services for individuals only. **NOTE** * The library will not provide witnesses and witnesses may not be solicited from library staff or patrons using the library. In order to serve as a witness, the witness must personally know the person whose document is being notarized and must be in possession of valid photo identification. * Notary services are not available for the following: mortgage or real estate documents, employment eligibility verification I-9 forms, certification of vital records (birth, marriage, death), auto titles without the buyer’s address and name. * Notaries cannot provide legal advice. * Notaries reserve the right to refuse to notarize any document. Career Online High School: Online high school diploma and career certification program. **NOTE** This is not a GED program. Successful graduates will earn a high school diploma through an accredited high school. Adult Literacy Program: Provides tutoring service to adults with low literacy skills.

Successful fulfillment of job skills test and job training result in a high school diploma as well as any earned certificate.

Provides reading, writing, math, job skills, GED prep, social studies and science instruction to low-literate adults or hearing-impaired/deaf adults. Utilizes small group classes, one-to-one tutoring and computer-assisted instruction.

The Adult Diploma Program at C-TEC’s Adult Education Center is a new opportunity for any resident of Ohio who is 20 years old or older, and does not already have a High School Diploma or GED credential. Learning is student-centered, self-paced and begins with a Career Pathway in mind. From student orientation, career counseling, assessment and enrichment classes, to technical training that leads to an industry approved credential, this program is designed to provide support and promote success during and after graduation. Adult Diploma participants will receive their High School Diploma upon successful completion of the credential program, and acquiring the designated industry credential for their assigned program. Every other week, local teens gather at Thurber Center to write, create, and explore ways to get their stories on paper. Whether it's a passion, or just a hobby, we invite any student in grades 9-12 to join us for an opportunity to spend time with others who also like to write.

Thurber House offers children's writing programs year round for students in grades 2-12. No matter the class, students will be challenged to write outside the box, use their imagination, expand their horizons, and have fun creating new things! Provides homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and encourages members to become self-directed learners. Designed specifically to help kids and teens with homework, this program is available after school at Clubs. Dedicated youth development professionals and volunteers supervise each session and help youth members complete their assignments for the day. When they finish their work, they may choose to participate in a variety of other engaging and educational activities to develop their skills even further.

Provides a series of classes designed to help parents work with their children of any age who are enrolled in the school district to improve academic performance and to improve community quality of life. Topics may include child development, preparation for standardized testing, helping effectively with homework, preparing for college, basic child development, healthy eating and cooking and more. Topics change each session. Activities for children are provided as well as dinner when classes are offered in the evenings.

Provides a 6-week workshop that provides families and caregivers with hands-on strategies for building literacy at home, reinforces the fact that parents and caregivers are their child's first and most important teacher, and builds text-rich environments at home by providing take-home books and other parent resources for families who participate in the program. All participants receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program and other incentives.
