Provides a program that teaches autistic adolescents skills to have a successful transition from school to independent living.

For children six through twenty-one years, classes are provided for children who meet the eligibility requirements for students with multiple disabilities as stated in the Rules for the Education of Handicapped Children which is provided by the Ohio Department of Education. Student enrollment at Starlight is determined by the Individual Education Plan (IEP) team, which includes the parents and the local school district. Together, the team determines the least restrictive environment from a continuum of options. Related services, such as physical and occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, adaptive physical education, nursing services, and vocational training are available to meet individual needs of students.

Provides technical assistance on: interpretation of preschool rules, identification assessment, developmentally appropriate practice integration, and transition activities prior to age three and into school age programs. Provides professional development training and updated resource information to professionals, parents, and caregivers on various early childhood topics and programs. Also assists the State Department of Early Childhood with the coordination of regional initiatives to ensure comprehensive services for children.

Provides special education services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or IEPs in grades K-12. Also serves individuals with special needs as they age out of school age services.
