Provides crime prevention and safety programs to Centerville residents in the areas of: bunco/fraud protection, property identification, child abuse prevention, juvenile delinquency prevention, commercial and residential security evaluations, child sexual assault prevention, shoplifting prevention, halloween safety, school safety, bicycle safety, vacation security checks, neighborhood watch programs, traffic safety, and child passenger safety.

Offers a safety course for children. Children participating in this program will gain a better understanding of safety as well as engage in personal interaction with safety forces. The three-hour program will be offered a few times throughout the summer for two different age groups. Each child must be accompanied by an adult to this program.

Provides free home safety visits and free smoke alarms.

Pleasant Township Fire Department provides fire services for all fo Plesant Township.

Responsible for sewer maintenance, water connections within the public right of way, and treatment of sewage and wastewater. In case of basement flooding, will send an inspector to the site to determine if blockage or break is in the main sewer line (for example, the storm sewer in the street) or on private property (from the curb to the house). Can only address issues with publicly owned sewer line. The sewer line from the curb to the house is the homeowners' responsibility. Where possible, will give the property owner advice on what is needed to remedy the problem. Takes complaints and reports from consumers concerning water and sewage service and will answer questions about billing. Prepares annual drinking water quality reports, and responds to inquiries about water pollutants. Reads water meters monthly.

Provides a public education and awareness program dedicated to enhancing the attitudes and actions of the city of Mansfield. Programs include: Plant Pride, Not Litter; Adopt-a-Street; It's Just Somebody Else's Mess; Neighborhood Clean Ups; Rid Your Gutter of Its Clutter; Litter Free Events; Partnerships with Businesses; and Special Clean up Programs.

Provides fire protection and fire prevention education and information for the City of Parma.

Provides all emergency communications for Delaware County through 9-1-1 Call Center. Dispatches fire, law enforcement and emergency medical services for all of Delaware County and for Ohio Wesleyan University on weekends.

Environmental Health licenses and inspects all businesses involved in retail edibles sales, including restaurants, groceries, schools, carry-outs, booths at festivals, vending machines, trailers, and retail stores. The office also investigates complains and possible foodborne disease outbreaks.

Offers a program for preschoolers that includes traffic, bicycle, and pedestrian safety information.

Offers technical assistance to developers, land owners, and municipalities related to floodplain management, erosion control, pond construction, researching and inspecting building sites, addressing commercial buildings, and splitting lots for development. Makes available countywide soil surveys which may be of use to potential property buyers who need information on potential pollutant and/or water table information and to landowners when looking to erect a building or before entering a lease for oil and gas drilling.

Providing environmental health services;food safety standards, pool sanitation, public facility health inspection, public health advisories, restaurant and food sanitation.

Home Safety workshops are offered as part of their older adult programs.

Provides comprehensive home visiting services in Defiance, Fulton, Henry, and Williams counties. This service is for pregnant women and families with children up to age 3 who are income eligible.

Provides landscaping and maintenance to gardened areas of vacant lots and street corners along highly visible intersections in the city of Cleveland to those who wish to sponsor such efforts. Service includes landscape maintenance and year-round litter collection at the site and a sign that publicizes the participation of sponsors in the project.

Free Ohio Identification Card (ID) for Ohio residents 17 years old or older. Ohioans who are under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian. Can not already hold a valid driver license. Driver License holders can, however, choose to downgrade to a State ID. State IDs are also available for Ohioans who are 16 years and younger for a fee. Permanent and irreversibly disabled Ohioans who are 16 or younger are eligible for a no fee ID (BMV 5755 is required).

Offers fire protection, emergency medical services, and fire prevention education for New Albany and Plain Township. Provides and installs smoke alarms, offers CPR classes and provides carbon monoxide testing. Speaks to local groups, businesses and schools about fire prevention.

Offers the services of specialized volunteers trained in both Urban and Wilderness Search and Rescue. The volunteers assist local, county and state law enforcement in the locating, accessing, stabilizing and extrication/transport of lost, trapped or missing persons.

Provides a wide range of services for families, including referrals to child care and early education programs that meet their family needs for child care. Provides assistance to parents and families on a variety of parenting topics, including discipline, literacy and special needs. Provides childcare provider training, a lending library with books and supplies for childcare providers, fingerprinting services, and the Step Up To Quality program for type A childcare providers.
