Environmental Health licenses and inspects all businesses involved in retail edibles sales, including restaurants, groceries, schools, carry-outs, booths at festivals, vending machines, trailers, and retail stores. The office also investigates complains and possible foodborne disease outbreaks.

Enforces food handling and dispensing laws and regulations for a variety of retail food establishments, including restaurants, food stands, mobile food carts, congregate meal sites, markets, and bakeries. Accepts and attempts to resolve complaints regarding cleanliness and other conditions that are potentially hazardous to customer health.
