Offers a paramedicine program to reduce the number of non-emergency 9-1-1 calls. Provides home consultations and preventative care, home safety assessments, social services referrals, education, and assistance with health care system navigation. The program will track participants’ progress to monitor improvements.
These classes are more in-depth than the SLIP program and include exercises to help with balance. The classes address the fear of falling, balance, and exercise. Classes meet once a week for eight weeks.
Responsible for control and extinguishing of fires in an urban setting; provide emergency medical services to the community the inspection of buildings and property to eliminate potential fire hazards; provide community wide fire safety, first aid, CPR, and life safety education; and training of firefighters and emergency medical technicians to maintain high quality of service in a timely manner.
