Regulates and disseminates workplace safety education to employers and employees.
Meets monthly to discuss and provide education safety as it relates to any business in the community. Monthly meeting topics include OSHA-required employee training, reducing Worker's Comp rates, safety equipment demonstrations, and general safety awareness. Additionally schedules special seminars and safety presentations for local businesses.
Provides a variety of safety training classes for businesses.The purpose of the program is to make all workplaces safe for employees and to aid in training employees to maintain a safe workplace; some of the course topics include First aid, CPR, Forklift, Defensive driving, OSHA 10 and 30 hours in General Industry and Construction, and Confined Space. Also presents breakfasts and luncheons with safety topics.Members receive an onsite inspection to check for safety violations and are given advice on correcting violations, findings are not reported to OSHA.
