Provides support services from pediatric pulmonologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, dietitian, and social worker to CF outpatients at Cystic Fibrosis Center at ProMedica Toledo Children's Hospital/ProMedica Toledo Hospital; services include assessments, treatment, nutrition counseling, respiratory therapy training and evaluation, counseling, family support services, telephone support, home visits and school visits.

Medicaid (medical assistance) provides health care coverage to families who may not otherwise have access to health care. The program is designed to safeguard the health and well-being of Highland County residents, particularly children, pregnant women, elderly, and individuals with disabilities. Some adults with children may also be eligible. By keeping the community in good health, Medicaid allows individuals to remain productive members of society. Like health care coverage, Medicaid may pay for part of the cost of visits to the doctor, hospital expenses, nursing home care and home health care. In some cases, transportation to the doctor may also be available. Medicaid programs include Healthy Start; Healthy Families; Healthchek; Pregnancy-related services; and Aged, Blind and Disabled among others. Individuals who receive Medicare, but whose income is too high to qualify for Medicaid, may be eligible for the Medicare Premium Assistance Program.

Provides up to $100 in financial assistance to purchase necessary prescription drugs for people who would be in an emergency situation without assistance. Assistance does not cover narcotics.

Investigates complaints and advocates for residents of long term care facilities. Assists nursing home and group home residents with asserting their rights and with problems concerning Medicare, Medicaid, and social security. Handles complaints of long term care services provided in home and community settings. Promotes volunteer visitation and advocacy services.

Children With Medical Handicaps is a program sponsored by the Ohio Department of Health that assists Licking County families with children who have special needs. Diagnostic services are available to any child until age 21. If a child is determined to have a qualifying disability and the parents meet income guidelines, then a treatment program is started. BCMH is a tax-supported program of the Ohio Department of Health that helps children with special health care needs, and their families. The program assists families in obtaining services to diagnose a potential handicapping condition (the Diagnostic Program) and assists with ongoing services for children with an eligible medical handicap (the Treatment Program). For both the diagnostic and treatment programs, children must be under the age of 21, live in Ohio, be a permanent U.S. resident, and be under the care of a BCMH-approved physician. The Diagnostic Program assists families in obtaining an evaluation of a potentially handicapping condition regardless of the family’s income. The Treatment Program is for children who have been diagnosed as having an eligible medically handicapping condition.

Provides a variety of services to support women and their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and after. A class for couples expecting twins or triplets is offered. Services include classes in breast feeding, a support group for breast feeding women, classes in different approaches to prepared childbirth, preparing family members and pets for a new addition, caesarean delivery, as well as full-service obstetrical care during the birth process. Service includes a Level II neonatal intensive care unit.

Urgent Care Polaris Parkway provides same-day care for most minor illnesses and injuries. Conditions treated include animal and insect bites and stings, asthma flare-ups (wheezing, not improving with inhalers, no difficulty breathing), cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms (body ache, congestion, cough, fever, sinus infection, sore throat), cuts, bruises or may need stitches, earache and infection, injuries (possible broken bones, sprains, dislocations), minor allergic reactions, minor burns, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea without bleeding, abdominal pain or dehydration, minor nosebleeds, pink-eye, red eye, itching, rashes, sexually transmitted diseases with symptoms, sprains and strains, suture/staple removal, urinary, kidney, and bladder infections, and wound check (increased pain, tenderness, redness, swelling or warmth around the cut or injury, fever, or other changes0.Services offered include drug screenings, onsite X-rays, physicals, select immunizations, and select laboratory testing.Additional locations listed here Urgent Care locations.

Provides inpatient care for acutely mentally ill adults from northeastern Ohio. Provides short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. Delivers comprehensive care to patients committed by criminal courts.

The support group meets in Mercy Memorial Hospital's main floor conference room, 904 Scioto St.,Urbana. Can sometimes help with co-pays and prosthetics related to breast cancer.

Offers anonymous HIV testing, screening, and pre and post-test counseling. Provides medical treatment, information and referrals to community resources, and mental health services to persons infected with HIV who are not yet showing symptoms of AIDS. Can work with individuals to secure medications through patient assistance or insurance programs. Provides case management services to HIV patients. Also offers HIV prevention education for groups.

Provides 24 hour nursing social services, psychological services, and activities for adults age 21 and older. Also offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
