HVCH Emergency department provides initial treatment to patients with a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries, some of which may be life-threatening and require immediate attention. Board-certified emergency physicians, highly skilled nurses and technicians staff the Emergency Department. The professional staff is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and many are also certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
