Provides a variety of books, videos, CDs, DVDs, and other materials for use and loan. Offers homebound services, meeting rooms and a literacy resource center. Makes available computers, including Internet and other office aids for public use, and a variety of electronic databases for research and general use. Provide books and other publications in large print, low-vision aids, including computer-based assistive technology, and captioned and descriptive videos. Can reserve private computer rooms (virtual meeting space) for video conferencing (including use for court hearings.)

Provides optical and other adaptive aids, such as high magnification devices and telescopic aids for close and distance viewing. Also hosts a support group. Note: This is a commercial business.

Repairs and adapts battery-operated toys and assistive devices so that they may be used by children with physical or intellectual disabilities. Items are donated to non-profit agencies to distribute to their clients.

Provides adaptive and medical equipment for those persons who are disabled and in need. Items available vary, but will generally have walkers, wheelchairs (power and manual), toilet seats, bedside commodes, incontinence supplies (adult diapers, bedding protection, etc.), glucose monitors, crutches, 4-prong canes and bath seats. Items can be borrowed for as long as an individual may need the item. Return of item(s) is encouraged; however, not required.

Offers a variety of services for Deaf, including mental health assessment, counseling, case management and other support services. .

Helps individuals who have disabilities to learn about or acquire assistive technology that assists individuals with disabilities to function independently in the areas of work, home or school. Devices may include those to assist with blindness/low vision, communication, computer use, learning aids, and for individuals who are deaf or hearing-impaired. *Devices can be loaned to individuals for up to 30 days as a device trial, short term need, or to serve as a loaner during repair or while waiting for funding for a device. *They do not provide funding for devices or vehicles, but may be able to direct clients to other resources. *Devices can be shipped to clients with free return shipping.

Provides an online catalog, access to the Internet, and a wide range of electronic databases, videocassettes, DVDs, audio books, ebooks, eAudiobooks, and other digital downloads. Provides a program that loans durable medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, bedside commodes, shower chairs, canes, walkers and crutches, as available. Length of loan is 6 months, but can be extended. Wheelchair loans are six weeks. Items are available on a first come, first served basis.

Provides vouchers for eye exams and to purchase eyeglasses. Funds are provided from the area Lions and Lioness' clubs.

Provides annual eye exams. Has corrective lenses/glasses available for purchase for adults and children.

Assists parents and children in locating adaptive toys through local libraries and schools.

Helps provide free eyeglasses to the needy in Plymouth, Shelby and Shiloh area. Does various fundraising events in the area.

Offers financial assistance to cancer patients and their families, including transportation, prescription, and financial assistance, medical and nutrition supplies, and specialized clothing/wigs.

Provides screening and evaluations for hearing, speech, and language, and audiological evaluations. Speech and language therapy, hearing evaluations, and hearing and speech aids vary per site.
