Note: Program assists with eyeglasses but not with contact lenses.

Serves all ages providing complete audiology support by licensed Doctors of Audiology. Services include hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings, tinnitus treatment, and rehabilitative services while offering the latest in hearing aid technology. Cochlear implant services are available through our Cochlear Implant Therapy Program.

Provides hairpieces and wigs made from human or synthetic hair for youth with permanent or temporary medical hair loss due to a health condition such as alopecia, cancer, or burns.

Provides free hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children and youth who are experiencing temporary or permanent medical hair loss.

Offers a wide selection of books and other materials, including special collections, large print books, magazines, and subtitled video tapes and films. Provides an online catalog, access to the Internet, and a wide range of electronic databases, videocassettes, DVDs, audio books, ebooks, eAudiobooks, and other digital downloads. Printing, faxing, scanning, and makerspace services available. New Teen Tech and Esports space.

The support group meets in Mercy Memorial Hospital's main floor conference room, 904 Scioto St.,Urbana. Can sometimes help with co-pays and prosthetics related to breast cancer.

Sells and rents medical supplies and equipment including wheelchairs, vents, CPAP machines, rehabilitation equipment, and oxygen. Offers accessibility products such as ramps, stairlifts, vehicle lifts, and door openers.

Provides a program that loans durable medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, bedside commodes, shower chairs, canes, walkers and crutches, as available. Length of loan is 6 months, but can be extended. Wheelchair loans are six weeks. Items are available on a first come, first served basis.

Provides eye screening and eye examinations for youth enrolled in the school district. Will also provide eye glasses if indicated by the screening. Done in conjunction with Cleveland Clinic.

Acts as a resource of assistive technology and devices for people with vision impairment in southwest Ohio.

Provides fully-functional lower-limb prosthetic care for individuals who cannot otherwise afford it.

The Prevent Blindness Vision Care Outreach (VCO) Program provides comprehensive vision care to uninsured and underinsured adults and children in Ohio. Services offered include vision care education, eye examinations, eyeglasses and financial resources for ophthalmological care. Additional services include adult vision training and adult vision screening programs, educational curricula and brochures, research, and advocacy for public health issues relating to vision and blindness.
