Instructs the public in the appropriate techniques for prolonging the lives of victims of heart failure until emergency medical care can be provided.

Provides people with Diabetes and their family members class activities that consist of three sessions that educate on appropriate food choices. These classes are instructed certified Diabetes Educator from Greene County Combined Health District. These class sessions also prepare a diabetic friendly fare by the OSU Extension staff for the tasting of healthy foods. A reunion is offered three months after the last class to further support dietary and physical activity changes.

Provides fire protection services and fire prevention information and education. Offers CPR classes and will provide and install smoke detectors.

Provides education and information on childbirth, infant care, safety awareness, breast feeding, infant massage, CPR for infants and children, and other classes designed to meet the needs of new parents, families, infants and children.

Red Cross offers an array of community education including first aid/ CPR, AED, HIV/AIDS facts, Baby sitter training, blood borne pathogens, and sport safety training. May offer free smoke alarms as well as testing existing alarms and providing home fire preparedness training.

Provides workshops that focus on educating school aged children about safe health practices and emergency care. Programs may focus on first aid care, hand washing, drug awareness, ambulance services, etc. Also offers tours of the emergency room and other hospital departments, and presentations to prevent smoking and acohol use.

Designed to provide the knowledge and skills to recognize emergencies, call for help, and provide care until help arrives. Teaches classes in: Hand-Only CPR, Adult CPR, Child and Infant CPR, First Aid, Professional CPR/AED, Sports Safety Training, Emergency Responder, Workplace Training Programs, Automated External Defibrillation (AED), Blood Borne Pathogens Training, and review classes to those who need to renew their certification in any of the above classes. * Classes provided in online or in-person format.
