Beginning in the 7th month of pregnancy provides educational classes on: nutrition, exercise, Lamaze breathing, types of medications that can be used during childbirth, breastfeeding; also offers special caesarean section classes. Kangaroo Kapers offers classes to help children 2-12 adjust to a new baby brother or sister.

Provides a drop-off location for donated breastmilk. Donation is stored in a freezer at -21 degrees, then shipped to Columbus to be pasteurized and distributed.

Provides nutrition education, including breastfeeding support/breast pump loan program; WIC nutrition card (EBT Card) for nutritious foods; help in finding health care, as well as immunization screenings and referrals; voter registration; and farmer's market coupons for fresh fruits and vegetables during summer months.

Offers a breastfeeding class, in which the client can learn the basics of breastfeeding preparation and techniques along with newborn nutrition facts from the experienced MetroHealth nursing team. The Breastfeeding Class is part of the overall Childbirth Preparation course, but it can be taken alone as a single-session course.

Provides a variety of services to support women and their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and after. A class for couples expecting twins or triplets is offered. Services include classes in breast feeding, a support group for breast feeding women, classes in different approaches to prepared childbirth, preparing family members and pets for a new addition, caesarean delivery, as well as full-service obstetrical care during the birth process. Service includes a Level II neonatal intensive care unit.

Provides education and social support to pregnant women who are at high risk for infant mortality during the prenatal period. Advocates for better birth outcomes and address systemic and community structures that contribute to poor birth outcomes through culture, education, support and engagement.

Preparation for parenthood, a department of the Center for Women's Health, offers a variety of programs and classes to help you prepare for your new baby. Classes include: Childbirth Refresher, classes for dads only, baby care, breastfeeding, infant massage, Infant safety and CPR (FOR EXPECTING MOTHERS ONLY), moms in motion.
