Provides training to help people with low vision to be independent in their homes. Services include assessment of needs, training with cooking utensils, cooking surfaces, telephones, controls for cooling/heating, cleaning procedures and use of equipment, and mobility training in the home and neighborhood. Provides assistive devices where indicated.

Hispanic Health program designed to help the Hispanic community have access to medical care, social services and health education. Provide blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings. Health Liaison serves as the link between the Hispanic community and health services. Assistance given to clients in Spanish with appointments and interpretations. The Promotora (community health liaison) teaches basic health education topics in Spanish.

Offers assistance and support to individuals with developmental disabilities who live independently within the community. Many of these individuals may not be eligible for services through other agencies. Transportation available to those in program.

Offers variety of resources and supports to promote community inclusion for adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities.

Comprehensive behavioral health treatment for children and adolescents with emotional/behavioral /substance problems; individual, group, family counseling; case management/therapeutic behavioral support; summer intensive outpatient program; psychiatric services; 24-hour crisis intervention; school-based suicide prevention program, early child-parent education, ropes and initiative course, mental health evaluation, in-school consultation, peer support, respite.

Offers service coordination and home visiting for infants and young children under the age of three with developmental delays and their families. Provides linkages and connections to early intervention services, works with families to identify goals that support their priorities and help them support their child's development.

Provides a participating site for the Silver Sneakers program. Offers specialized aerobic exercise for older adults to assist in improving health and fitness. Provides on-site and virtual exercise programs.

Offers 4 outpatient pavilions. Rehabilitation Pavilion includes: physical therapy, occupational therapy, industrial medicine, and speech & hearing services. Women's and Children's Pavilion includes: general health care, pediatrics,child care, obstetrics (normal and high risk), family planning, gynecology, comprehensive health care for teen mothers and child, fetal diagnostic center, physicals, dermatology, asthma management, hearing and vision testing, eating disorder evaluation, assists with smoking cessation, and provides immunizations for Hepatitis B, Varicella, MMR, and Tetanus. Specialty Services Pavilion includes: cardiology, orthopedics, rheumatology, geriatrics, gastroenterology, neurology, ophthalmology, dermatology, nutrition, and ENT. Cancer Care Pavilion includes: chemotherapy and radiation therapy as well as other aspects of cancer care. Also located in the Outpatient Plaza is the pharmacy, which can fill prescriptions written by any Metro doctor.

Summer Youth in Transition program focuses on daily living skills for high school students with disabilities. Topics to be explored include budgeting, hygiene, job readiness, social skills, and safety skills. Participants will have an opportunity to go on field trips. A snack will be provided. Participants are encouraged to take a lunch.

Provides group homes, adult day services, and respite care for persons with developmental disabilities and other special needs. Homes are located in various Summit County communities including Akron, Stow, and Tallmadge.

Provides speech-language screenings on-site, as well as at preschools, day cares, and Head Start locations throughout the community by contract, in order to provide early detection and intervention.

Provides a realistic indoor "city" designed specifically for children with special needs to have fun while practicing important life skills through role play.

Offers health screenings to detect potential health problems. Offers a variety of screenings, including bone density, cholesterol, depression, colorectal cancer, diabetes, foot health, blood pressure, prostate cancer, and speech and language. Also makes available flu and pneumonia vaccines.
