Offers cats, dogs, and other companion animals for adoption. Provides each adoptable animal to be sent home spayed or neutered and up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines. Arranges all animals to be sent home with food, coupons, and microchipped for identification purposes.
Adoptable cats pictured on the website are all vaccinated (FVRCP, Rabies as age appropriate), spayed/neutered, and have received flea and de-worming medication while they are at the shelter and will receive a microchip before they go home.
Provides a service where stray and abandoned cats and dogs can be permanently placed into a new home. Also offers an animal foster care program, through which families and individuals volunteer to provide a temporary home for stray or abandoned cats and dogs.
Large variety of new & used items. Accept donations of clothing, children’s toys, furniture, household appliances, tools, musical instruments, antiques, collectibles, books, and decorative items. All proceeds from the Menagerie support the operation and mission of the Animal Welfare League.

Places stray and homeless domestic pets with people who are willing to provide for their care. All pets placed for adoption receive a veterinary examination, their first set of shots, are dewormed and are spayed or neutered.
The Licking County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center has partnered with Pets for Patriots, Inc. Our Shelter offers dog adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots and will help them find their new best friends. Pets for Patriots also provides benefits and post-adoption follow-up.

The adoption process is as follows: - Any dog may be adopted after their holding time is up. - All dogs are adopted through the Animal Shelter's Spay - Neuter Program. - If the dog has already been spayed or neutered, it may be adopted from the MCDW office for the usual fees.
