Provides up to $60,000 in funds for new and established eligible organizations to build or renovate spaces dedicated to housing survivor’s pets, to assist homeless shelters in becoming pet friendly, begin a foster program to care for survivor’s pets, pay for temporary boarding for survivor’s pets, or a combination of services that will best serve your community and their pets. Grant funds may also be used for routine veterinary care, emergency veterinary care, and pet deposits.

Provides doing a Foster-to-Adopt trial period as a great way to learn if the dog is a good fit for your family prior to committing to adoption. When you Foster-to-Adopt, you take the dog(s) home for 14 days before deciding whether the relationship is meant to be. Provides a foster ambassador program which includes caring for and marketing dogs who are available for adoption, Provides medical and behavioral fosters which include dogs who need to heal before becoming available for adoption or puppies who are not old enough for adoption.

Volunteer puppy raisers called "Co-Pilots", provide housing, care, training, and love for puppies from the time they are 8-10 weeks old until the age of about 18 months (or until requested back by Pilot Dogs). If you aren’t able to commit that much time, there are always flexible options, like part-time, recurring puppy sitting, or Co-Piloting for the summer.

Offers limited time pet foster care for those who are temporarily unable to care for their pet. All animals placed in care will recieve vaccinations and/or spay/neuter if they have not already been (provided at no charge to the client). Families are given regular updates on how their companions are doing by volunteer program coordinators.
