Provides specialized information and referral to those who are taking on the role as kinship caregivers (family members who are taking on the role of being caregivers for another relative's children). Connects families to community services based on their needs, including navigation in regard to completing applications and paperwork. This program does not offer direct financial assistance.

Assists kinship caregivers in learning about and accessing programs and resources to meet the needs of the children in their care. Offers guidance on a variety of topics, such as applying for legal custody, obtaining financial benefits, and connecting with support groups or other kinship caregivers.
Supports grandparents and relative caregivers in Lucas County for over 24 years by offering information and referral services, support groups, evidence-based programs, special events, quarterly newsletters, twice monthly e-newsletters, and publications including our FREE Parenting Smarts Resource Guide.

Provides specialized information and referral to those who are taking on the role as kinship caregivers (family members who are taking on the role of being caregivers for another relative's children). Connects families to community services based on their needs, including navigation in regard to completing applications and paperwork.
Provides various benefits including information and referral, financial assistance and Medicaid to eligible caregivers. Services may vary according to type of relationship between caregiver and child, reason child is in the home and legality of the living arrangement. Some additional services may be available if the child has special needs or protective services are being provided to family of origin.
Provides in home individualized services to caregivers and the children, including grandparents raising grandchildren. Provides assistance navigating systems, education, interventions, and guidance. Offers support groups, guest speakers, and recreational and social activities for families.
