Child Care, family life, parenting, adult development, nutrition, food safety, cooking classes, meal planning, money management, jobs and families, balancing work and family and health issues, educational programs and information can be provided on all of the target issues.

The Family and Consumer Sciences program in Clark County strives to build strong families through educational programming. Programs focus on nutrition and lifestyle choices from infancy through retirement; managing time, money, and other resources; community health and environmental concerns; and managing the multiple roles of work and family life. These issues are addressed through programs offered in the community, newsletters offering information on these specific issues, and information offered via new technologies, such as the website.

Provides instruction that deals with the basic activities of homemaking including caring for and managing children; planning, shopping for and preparing nutritious meals; maintaining a clean and safe living environment; and other in-home responsibilities.
