Provides parenting groups (Incredible Years, The Positive Parenting Program - Triple P, and Family Success Network) that are evidence-based programs to provide support to parents and teach effective parenting strategies for dealing with children’s difficult behaviors and enhancing parent-child relationships. Children can attend a concurrent group of their own, where they learn problem solving and communication skills.

40-unit, two story apartment complex. Provide permanent and supportive housing project for individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse issues.

Provides material items such as maternity clothing; diapers and wipes; baby and toddler clothing; formula; large items like cribs, carseats and pack-n-plays; and various other baby and toddler materials. Uses a voucher system to provide the items to clients. Offered on an emergency basis, as approved by staff, to others.

Surrounds pregnant and new mothers with support, education and resources in a weekly group program to ensure a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Services include prenatal and child birth education, medical referrals, talking with doctors and nurses, parenting resources, food assistance, baby items, as well as a healthy meal and the opportunity to socialize with other pregnant moms. Childcare and $5 Kroger gift card at each meeting. Transportation provided if needed.

Provides prenatal and postnatal services utilizing an Earn While You Learn pregnancy and parenting education program. Baby items including cribs, car seats, diapers, clothing, etc are earned as lessons are completed. Group classes on safe sleep, preventing child sexual abuse, and shaken baby syndrome are also offered. Staff are certified as child passenger safety technicians and can check for proper installation of car seats.

Professional educators provide community programs and screenings to promote health and wellness. Programs include Women in Touch, Healthier at Home, Resource Mothers, Fatherhood Support, Centering Pregnancy, Hispanic Health, Stepping Out, Prescription Assistance and community health events for men and women. Screenings include blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, osteoporosis, body fat, balance, and carbon monoxide.

Provides Community Health Workers (CHW) that assist pregnant women throughout their pregnancy and up to their child’s first birthday. CHWs provide outreach, health education, care coordination and advocacy. They bridge the gap between communities and the health and social services system while advocating for individual and community needs. Services are individualized and adjusted for each women's needs.

Pregnancy testing and limited fetal ultrasound, information on abortion risks and procedures, abstinence, STDs, and STIs, fetal development, parenting and adoption; material goods; baby equipment and accessories; Life and Parenting group; Dad.Ready for men; Coffee & Conversation for women;pregnancy, birth and postpartum prep group;family nights: and after abortion recovery support. All services provided at no cost.

30-unit apartment complex for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Preference is given for homeless individuals, but it is not mandatory for admittance. Each of the Apple Grove buildings has five one-bedroom apartments with a kitchen, bath, and living room/dining room combination. On-site community building provides an indoor recreation area, and ample outdoor space is also available for recreational programs. Community support services are provided to individuals by The Counseling Center.

Provides family supports for pregnant individuals and parents/guardians of infants and toddlers from birth to age 3. Follows the Healthy Families America Evidence-Based Model.

Provides baby items newborn-2T, including diapers, formula, clothes, furniture, books, and more

- Provides clinical consultations, screenings and coaching sessions to new fathers who need mental health and parenting support during the first 12 months of parenthood. - Complete 2-5 Fathers Feelings sessions in person or virtually and receive a $25.00 gift card after their second session. - Complete all 5 sessions, and TANF eligible dads receive an additional $400.00 of baby items sent directly to their home.

Offers a variety of free family-based parenting education programs. Topics covered may include communication skills, family rules, child development, building empathy, need for consistency, etc.

Offers a variety of free classes focused on enhancing parenting skills of first-time parents. Couples that attend six classes in a row may be eligible to receive a gift card for a mattress and crib.

Provide Pack N Play portable cribs and Safe Sleep Survival Kits to families and caregivers that are unable to provide a safe sleep environment due to financial hardship. Survival Kit contains a sheet for the Pack N Play, a sleep sack for the infant, a bedtime storybook and educational materials for the parents. Family must come to Board of Health office to pick up Pack N Play and receive instruction on proper assembly and use before taking Pack N Play home.

Offers a variety of classes for new and expecting parents including Baby Care for Beginners, Breastfeeding education, Childbirth Education, Infant/Child CPR, and more.

Cash assistance program for teen parents providing additional assistance with child care transportation and school related issues.
