Leadership Development - Adults | Cleveland Leadership Center

Choose 2 Be U - Community Based | From Me 2 U

Offers two coaching program focusing on life skills, service, leadership, and education. One program (From Me 2 U) is for high school aged youth and is offered in four formats: community-based, school-based, and residential. During Summer, the program partners with Youth Opportunities Unlimited, to add a workforce component. School-based learning allows participants to incorporate classroom skills into a safe community environment while developing team-building skills. Participants gain skills to help them identify as community members while fostering independence. Residential is designed to replace risky behaviors and activities with positive protective factors by improving decision-making and critical thinking skills, increasing engagement in drug-free activities, increasing participant's network of positive peer supports, and developing community awareness about prevention efforts. The other program (Becoming Me ) is for young adults in college and offers life coaching and internships.

Mayor'S Youth Leadership Council (MYLC) | Akron City Of - Department Of Human Resources

Offers a civic leadership initiative designed to educate Akron’s youth about their government, community organizations and service-led projects. Participants will learn about Akron’s history and social issues, tour City facilities and get a behind-the scenes look at how city government works. Career Development | Inroads - Great Lakes Region

Provides college students with programs designed to equip them with skills, practical work experience and insights necessary to become successful in business, technical and/or allied health careers. Services include mentoring and leadership development activities. The goal is placement in a job following graduation, preferably with the sponsoring business. Also provides a support group for the parents of participants, who meet to assist the development of their children, to further their own professional development, and to plan fundraising activities. Heritage Program For Retirees | Leadership Geauga County

Introduces class members to challenges and opportunities unique to Geauga County. Participants gain personal access to community leaders, behind the scenes site tours, and in-depth discussions while gaining a deeper understanding of Geauga County. Class members expand their personal contacts and leverage these into a network of like-minded leaders. The Heritage Program inspires retirees and adults approaching retirement to reconnect to their community, encouraging their personal action to be part of the positive solution to some of Geauga County’s challenges. Each person’s overall experience is enhanced by the identification and achievement of personal goals in conjunction with individual efforts supporting the greater good of the county.
