Offers a horticulture instruction course. Once accepted into the program, must attend a training class then complete 50 hours of volunteer activity. Volunteer Master Gardeners serve in various ways including, but not limited to, speaking in the community, setting up gardening displays, and answering questions on the Master Gardener Hotline.
The Champaign County Master Gardener Association provides horticulture leadership and education through programs and activities within the community, while striving to develop, improve, and preserve the quality of our natural environment. The association volunteers value the world we live in, and seek to preserve and improve the beauty and safety of our environment through horticulture related education, without discrimination.

Trains participants to work in gardening education. Provides classroom instruction in basic botany, pest control, propagation, plant pathology, etc.
Provides intensive training in horticulture to interested Ohio residents who then volunteer their time assisting with educational programs and activities for Summit County residents. Master Gardener Volunteers provide such educational services to their communities as answering gardening questions from the public, conducting plant clinics, gardening activities (with children, senior citizens, or disabled persons), beautifying the community, developing community, or demonstration gardens and other horticultural activities.
