Denison promotes and supports local community service by engaging the community in five areas: - Denison Community Association — Our student-led and operated umbrella organization for student service committees. - America Reads — Our program for Federal Work Study students to provide tutoring services to area elementary schools. - Curricular Service-Learning — Denison courses which include structured service work as part of the text of the course. - Denison Service Orientation (DSO) — The Center partners with First Year Programs to provide a service orientation opportunity in Washington, DC and Newark, OH each year. - Community Service Interns — Our program for Federal Work Study students that places students with a local community non-profit organization to assist with on-going or new projects as needed by the organization.

Services offered include full use of facility for 8 years and older with exception to Wellness Center, Indoor Track, Whirlpool, and Sauna. These areas are restricted to use by specific groups. Youth 8 years and younger need to be under direct supervision of parent or guardian or registered and participating in a supervised program. Day lockers available, snacks for sale, towels provided, corporate memberships available, scholarships available, babysitting is offered for 2 hours per visit.
Provides 4H programming for ages 9-18. Advisors are volunteers and projects cover a variety of interests.
Provides a library for family historians - 70,000 volumes. Publisher of two periodicals on Ohio genealogy and numerous reference books; home to four lineage groups: First Families of Ohio, Society of Civil War Families of Ohio, Settlers and Builders of Ohio, and Century Families of Ohio. Volunteers welcome.
