Provides a wide range of supervised recreational activities for youth. Offers a safe haven, adult role models, and a variety of programs that support the educational, emotional, physical, and social development of youth, without regard to social, racial, ethnic, or religious background.

Provide environmental prevention strategies to the community of Mahoning County to reduce youth substance use, and adult misuse over time through a community coalition of key stakeholders. Sponsor prescriber training to address opioid misuse, disseminates literature via media, neighborhood canvassing to reduce youth use, establishes drug free zones throughout the community, facilitates Safe Home campaigns, sponsors and creates youth ambassadors who are champions in efforts to reduce peer substance use, monitors retail outlets for underage sales.

4-H is a non-formal educational, youth development program offered to individuals age 5 and in kindergarten to age 19. Ohio 4-H youth development reaches more than 240,000 youth each year – helping kids “learn by doing” through hands-on activities. All 4-H programs focus on active involvement and quality experiences which stimulate lifelong learning of values and skills. 4-H members learn valuable lessons in leadership, communication and collaboration while increasing their knowledge in math, science, technology and a variety of other topics. Afterschool Programs of Lancaster offers a wide variety of activities for school-age children and youth in out-of-school hours. August 13th through May 22nd- 6:00am-8:45am and 3:30pm-6pm

Provides various youth sports and recreational activities.

Offers a youth enrichment program focused on mentoring that includes a variety of physical activities, speakers, and lunch.

Provides a selection of interactive and transformative workshops geared towards self-management, life purpose, self-actualization, arts and culture, and career exploration.

Provides after school programming for Akron area refugee and immigrant youth grades K through 12th, assisting in homework help, social and emotional learning, American acculturation, career readiness, and alcohol, tobacco, and other drug education and prevention.

Provides after-school and summer learning experiences for registered children (grades K-5), including arts and crafts, homework assistance, reading/math/STEM activities, and music. Provides daily snacks and meals. During the school year, students are transported from select schools to CCH and transported home in the evening within zip codes 43205.

Provides girls the opportunity to experience physical, mental, and emotional growth through participation in a variety of sports (including basketball, running, biking and walking) and academic enrichment community projects. The academic piece has a main focus of critically thinking.

Offers a civic leadership initiative designed to educate Akron’s youth about their government, community organizations and service-led projects. Participants will learn about Akron’s history and social issues, tour City facilities and get a behind-the scenes look at how city government works. Prepares area high school students to become positive role models, and allows them to build character and develop leadership skills through training and youth council meetings.

Provides an opportunity for youth and adults to learn how to do bike repairs, earn a bike, helmet, and lock through service to the community and peers at the shop. Engages youth and adults by providing access to a variety of cycling events, activities, and rides. Provides access to shareable bikes at through various partners at community events.
