Miles House offers a less restrictive environment than psychiatric hospitalization, with a maximum length of stay of 16 days. Residential services are offered in a comfortable, homelike, supportive environment. Residents are encouraged to develop and utilize internal and external resources to help stabilize their crisis situation. Clients often find that temporary separation from their natural environment results in stabilization and resolution of the problem. Referrals to Miles House are accepted from area hospitals, community professionals, mental health centers, Netcare crisis sites and the Crisis Stabilization Unit.

Provides a 306 acre live-in therapeutic farm community that offers residential and day treatment for adults with serious mental illness. Clients relearn daily living skills and improve their interpersonal skills while engaging in farming practices. In addition to work duties, offers individual and family counseling, a high school diploma program, health and well being discussion/education groups, prevocational training, and psychosocial activities. Meals provided for day treatment participants. Can house up to 40 residents.

211 Cleveland

Provides different types of housing options for adults over the age of 18 who experience severe and persistent mental illness. Next Generation Homes are four-bedroom homes located in suburban neighborhoods. They are staffed 24/7 and serve four residents each. The homes are considered permanent housing for as long as the resident needs the level of care provided. The Norwich House is an 11-bed facility for adults who have experienced persistent and severe mental illness. Activities include group sessions, family support and education, training in daily living skills, monitoring of self-administration of medication, personal growth and coping skills and social and recreational activities.
