Provides a health education resource center for asthma, smoking and tobacco programs, air quality (indoor and outdoor), other lung health education; the center's resources include literature, a speakers' bureau, school education programs on lung health topics, tobacco education, tobacco cessation, Tools For Schools (environmental and air quality program), Open Airways for Schools (asthma education for elementary schools) and a Lung Help Line staffed by health care professionals.

Offers support groups for individuals who are recovering from a substance abuse issue. Meetings are offered at various times and locations in the area. Meetings are in-person, by phone, or virtual by Zoom or other similar platform.

Outpatient Partial Hospitalization & Intensive Outpatient Therapy for adults and children as young as 12 years of age. The following illnesses are treated: Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder. Our program begins with a mental and physical health assessment. Based on your assessment and your needs, our team will recommend a treatment plan that typically includes a combination of talk therapy, holistic therapies, peer-to-peer support groups, and medication management. Sometimes people with mental health issues are also struggling with substance abuse. A treatment plan that addresses individuals needs and symptoms will be developed.

Provides prevention services through in-school programming, after-school programming, Effective Impact Academy, summer/winter camps, mentoring, mental health counseling, and substance use disorder counseling.

Available in the lobby at the Austintown Police Department. Accept old, expired, used prescription and over the counter medications. Does not accept needles, syringes, liquids or inhalers.

Community psychiatric supportive treatment. Provides intensive case management to severely mentally disabled clients and provides after hours emergency crisis intervention for their clients. Behavioral health assessment, counseling and therapy, medication management.

Provides after-school and summer programs for English Language Learners with homework tutoring; arts and crafts; outdoor activities; ESL classes; and tobacco, drug and alcohol prevention education. Summer program helps participants work on academic issues. Program is designed with culturally relevant references for participants. Program is limited to 80 participants.

Involves drug free Franklin County students, grades 9-12 in Franklin County workshops, rallies, school assemblies and a summer conference. Offers youth leadership program where teens make decisions about the program with weekly youth advisory board meetings. Junior Youth to Youth serves students in grades 6-8.

LCHD's Drug Overdose Prevention (DOP) program works to implement comprehensive community-based efforts to address drug use and misuse through: coalition development, community needs assessment and evaluation, formation of an overdose fatality review, and development of policy, systems and environmental change strategies to address the issue.

Offers a youth driven program that promotes healthy lifestyle choices free of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs through organized effective prevention strategies. Created to bring together youth to assist in developing a sense of responsibility for their community, while expanding personal growth and providing an opportunity to connect with like-minded peers.

Community Mercy Reach extends quality compassionate care to adults and youth who face on the today's most pervasive problems, chemical dependency. Offers assessment linked to inpatient detoxification. After a scheduled assessment may be admitted to the detox program at SRMC. REACH's certified chemical dependency counselors specialize in outpatient treatment and intervention to help free adults and adolescents from addiction to drugs and alcohol. Treatment is provided through individual group and family Counseling. Smoking Cessation program as well

Families are crucial in successful recovery from chemical dependency. Shepherd Hill offers three ways for families to learn about chemical dependency and how they can help their loved one. All programs are open to the public. Family Education: A six-week cycle of lectures including: Family Roles; Returning Home; Boundaries; Enabling and Provoking; Forgiveness and Trust; Recovery and Relapse Saturday "Ask the Doc" Sessions: For patients, families, and other interested people may ask questions of a physician knowledgeable in the field of chemical dependency. The goal is to help those attending increase their knowledge and understanding of the chronic, progressive nature of chemical dependency. The series is free of charge and open to the public. Family Education Day: Further educates and informs the families of patients about chemical dependency. The goal is to help families better understand the disease and how they have been affected by living with it. Families learn about Twelve-Step programs available to assist them in their recovery.

Promotes cultural specific lifestyles and self-esteem through classes in creative writing, computer, poetry/spoken word, drama, art, African dance, drumming, jewelry making, fashion design and sewing. After school and summer prevention sessions focus on increasing knowledge of negative effects of violence, alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, and development of resistance skills.

Provides a drug and alcohol services seminar for court-ordered youth ages 10 to 17 years old. Seminar is 8 hours on designated Saturdays, held at Sinclair Community College.

The Vinton County Prevention and Recovery Coalition meets monthly to discuss drug-related issues affecting county residents and works to create positive change.

An aquatic/outdoors educational program that serves as a primary prevention and early intervention project for youth. The program is designed to supply activities that are alternatives to drug and alcohol use and experimentation. Also provides eduction services that address stressors such as alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, violence, leadership skills, coping skills, and other services that negatively impact youth.

Provides treatment for mental health, drug and alcohol concerns, as well as intervention and prevention services.

Uses arts activities to provide substance abuse prevention education and teach coping skills to children who have chemically dependent family members.

Speaks to groups on a variety of topics relating to substance abuse, addiction, and prevention.

Program is for individuals addicted to opioids such as heroin, morphine, or prescription medications. All clients are required to undergo random urine drug screen and participate in intensive counseling sessions and other recovery activities.

OhioCAN: - Advocates for every family directly and indirectly affected by substance use. - Provides Peer 2 Peer Support to all individuals, families, and friends regardless of their recovery status. - Educates our communities about substance use, medicine based treatment, and evidence based practices to reduce harm and promote health and wellness. - Implements harm reduction strategies for our community. - Provides a voice for those silenced due to shame and stigma.

Provides a variety of community based programs designed to assist individuals in developing alternatives to substance abuse, violence, and criminal behavior; increase participants understanding of substance abuse and how specific behaviors impact their ability to stay sober and crime free.

The D.A.R.E. program instructs children throughout the county about the dangers of drug use and peer pressure and assists them in making their own choices to be drug free.

Provides consultation to train employers to identify and deal with substance abuse at the workplace. Also offers a drug abuse and addiction education program for employees. Offers pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post accident and random drug screens.

DeafEND is a Deaf and Hard of Hearing program focused on teaching children how to live a substance free healthy life. DeafEND provides in school substance abuse prevention education to Deaf and Hard of Hearing children. DeafEND runs a free summer camp every year for Kids of Deaf Adults (KODA). DeafEND provides leadership and healthy living education to teenage adolescents who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing to promote their overall wellbeing.
