Peer Supporters are people who have lived experience with mental health and/or substance use disorders who have been successful in their recovery. They use their recovery stories to help others in similar situations by providing support, encouragement, hope and resources. Our ProBono Counseling program provides short-term counseling to individuals who are uninsured or under insured, free of charge. MHA provides the 40 hour training for individuals interested in pursuing a career in peer support. Our trainings are approved for certification in both Ohio and Kentucky.

Provides Client Services Representatives to assist individuals in recovery from substance use disorder with access to recovery support services. The program provides long-term care coordination and support to eligible individuals. The importance of this centralized service increases the chance of recovery and allows program participants to experience an increased quality of life. Client Services Representatives link individuals referred to the program from jail, prison, transition houses, treatment providers, and community agencies with access treatment providers and recovery support services. . Peer supporters are also available to support individuals in recovery. Program also offers a wellness program.
