Provides a museum that stimulates interest and increases understanding of the sciences, with emphasis on the interdependence of scientific, environmental and technological activities in the Great Lakes Region. Offers interactive, "hands-on" exhibits, demonstrations and educational programs to help people of all ages achieve and maintain greater science literacy. Home to the NASA Glenn Visitor Center, which includes 50 exhibits and artifacts, including shuttle and rocket models and other items.
Offers guided and self-guided tours of the museum's interactive exhibits and displays including: That Kids Playce, Science Central, Hall of the Universe, the Discovery Zoo, the Fraze exhibits gallery, and the Caryl D. Philips Space Theater.

STEM initiatives are everywhere in the museum and also strategically aligned to State of Ohio content standards for education. STEM programs include: - School tours spending the day at the museum - Traveling outreach programs - Exhibits throughout the museum - Special events incorporating business and industry Another important component of STEM is connecting industry, education, and community. The Works is as a catalyst for these entities to come together in a positive, mutually beneficial atmosphere. Industry partners are instrumental in the success of STEM programming and vital to demonstrating real-world application of STEM education. STEM business partners participate in special events and activities to highlight their businesses, show community impact, educate children and young adults on STEM professions, and recruit future interns and/or employees from the local community.
Hands-on science center offers interactive exhibits, educational programs, demonstrations, workshops, theaters and a variety of learning activities for all ages. Promotes a better understanding of science, industry, health and history.
