Develops and maintains housing in an integrated setting for individuals with developmental disabilities. Owns numerous residential homes in 17 Ohio Counties. Equips all homes with fire alarm systems and carbon monoxide detectors installed prior to occupancy as well as basic kitchen appliances and washers and dryers that are maintained by the agency.

First Time Homebuyer Program | Habitat For Humanity Of Greater Dayton

Provides affordable homeownership opportunities for qualified low-income families in Montgomery County and Greene and Clark County. Partner families invest hundreds of hours of their own labor into building their own houses and the houses of others, and they also attend homeownership classes. Families pay a down payment and a monthly mortgage payment, taxes and insurance to Habitat. Direct services include personal contact from staff and volunteers, home visits, one-on-one mentors, educational classes, sweat equity management, and ongoing communication and nurturing to ensure families' success as a mortgage-paying homeowner and self-sufficient citizen of the community.
