Provides help to community residents and organizations engaged in community building activities. Grants range from $100 - $250. Grants are intended to encourage health, safety, neighborliness, civic participation, volunteerism, community pride and activism in the North End of Mansfield (census tracts 6, 7 and 16). Three or more residents can apply for funds; Two or more organizations can apply for funds on a matching basis. Terms may change.

Promotes the use of collaboration and mediation to resolve conflicts. Provides ongoing training and support for mediator. Also, celebrates diverse heritage with a yearly CultureFest event, September 27, 2014 and a Global Education Series. Home Repair Loan: This is a loan program for elderly and low income homeowners. Staff will assist with selection of licensed contractors to perform this work. The home must meet all city codes. Veterans receive a bonus incentive for participation in the program. Emergency Repair Loan Program: This is an emergency rehab loan for elderly and low income homeowners to correct a serious health/safety or energy conservation condition. Examples of emergency repairs include: furnace, gas lines, insulation, roofs, electrical, plumbing, handicapped accessible improvements, etc. Windows & Siding: This is a zero interest loan program for homeowners who wish to install vinyl replacement windows and/or vinyl siding. This is a deferred loan.
