United Way of Licking County combines volunteer and financial resources to find solutions to community problems so that Licking County residents achieve their full potential in the areas of education, income, health and basic needs. UWLC is the centralized fund-raising organization for approximately 50 local human services programs.
Conducts annual fund-raising drives, campaigns in the workplace, and other initiatives to generate fiscal support for partner agencies who provide health and human service programs. Accepts financial contributions to help social service programs meet priority community-wide needs. Distributes funds through volunteer committees to local programs that address board-approved priority areas. Committees are chosen so that they reflect the area demographics and for their expertise in specific service areas.
Works to advance the common good in Medina and Summit counties through education, income, and health services.
