Coordinates a community-wide fundraising effort to support local social service agencies.
Functions as a central fund-raising agency for Jewish agencies. Funds educational, humanitarian and social services through local partner agencies, schools, international organizations, area synagogues and community organizations.
Conducts annual fundraising drives, campaigns in the workplace, and other initiatives to generate fiscal support for partner agencies that provide health and human service programs. Accepts financial contributions to help social service programs meet priority community-wide needs.
Uses volunteer committees to identify health and human service needs, work to address community problems, to distribute funds for programs, and promotes understanding of and collaboration with the public health and human service sectors through the public policy committee and other community building efforts.
