Advocates on a national, state and local level for effective laws to deter driving while intoxicated (DWI). Lobbies governments and businesses on issues of teenaged drinking, advertisement content, victims compensation rights and criminal justice procedures as they relate to this issue.

Investigates complaints of racial discrimination in the areas of employment, housing, police brutality, criminal justice, veterans, health, and education. Refers complaints to proper authorities for resolution.

Participants take part in monthly voter registration drives and may participate in state, regional, and national conventions. Offers incentives to youth to stay in school.

Collaborates with local human services organizations to provide outreach to Spanish-speaking individuals and families.

Collects statistics on incidents of anti-gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intimate partner/domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking. Assists the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs in producing two annual reports on the prevalence of hate and bias Violence and intimate partner violence in the LGBTQ communities.

The NAACP sponsors a variety of programs. Programs are designed to ensure civil rights compliance, equitable treatment of all Americans under law, the attainment of educational excellence, access to health care and economic empowerment.

Investigates charges of discrimination in employment, public accommodations, housing, credit and higher education on the bases of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, ancestry, military status, or familial status. Must file complaints within six months (or one year for housing complaints) of the alleged act of discrimination. OCRC must make a finding within one year after the charge is filed. OCRC staff may go to business or community to conduct training on Ohio laws against discrimination as defined in Revised Code Section 4112.

Provides information and resources upon which individuals and the general public may make informed decisions reagrdign various topics of fetal development, abortion, alternatives to abortion, infanticide and euthanasia.

Offers programs to connect the LGBT business community and allies through proactive business development. Advocates workplace equality and serves as a point of connection for corporations, supporters, LGBT businesses, and professionals.
