The clerk of courts maintains the records of the court of common pleas and various courts which have exercised appellate jurisdiction on the county level. The records of the common pleas court pertain to all civil cases in which the amount or matter in dispute exceeds the statutory jurisdiction of county or municipal courts, and all felony criminal cases. This court also maintains the records of all domestic relations matter.

Provides administrative oversight of all City services, coordination of responses to constituents complaints and concerns, information regarding governmental services, and leadership in planning and implementing various City programs.

Controls accounts and records of all city departments. Responsible for disbursement of all public monies in the City of Akron.

Responsible for maintaining the financial records of the city, including general ledger records, and reporting the city’s financial position to the Auditor of State, City Council, the Mayor and other interested parties. The Auditor is also responsible for the accounting of fixed assets, payroll preparation along with pension fund and tax reporting, accounts payable, purchasing card management, and managing the city’s bonded and noted debt. The office performs internal audits of the various city departments to assure that proper accounting procedures are being followed.

Vermilion City Council consists of seven members elected for two years. Their terms begin on the first day of January following their elections. Five of these council members are elected by the electors of the Wards of the City of Vermilion and two are elected by the electors of the city at large.

Administers public services for residents of the City of Pepper Pike. Handles complaints and gives information about the city and other government services.

Responsible for keeping the financial records of the City, maintaining an accurate listing of all properties owned by the City, investing and disbursing all monies of the City, issuing debt and assisting the Mayor and Council in the preparation of estimates, budgets and other financial matters. In addition, the Finance Department is also responsible for various general accounting procedures including financial reporting, budgetary reporting, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Serves as the chief executive officer for the city of Fairlawn. Carries out the intent and purpose of the charter and legislation passed by Council. Supervises the administration of city affairs and the administration of all departments and divisions.

Accepts filings of initial actions as well as pleading in pending and post decree actions for all Civil, Domestic Relations, and 11th District Court of Appeals cases. Accepts all filing fees and posting of bonds in civil and divorce actions. Actions filed here include, but may not be limited to, civil actions, divorce complaints, annulment complaints, dissolution petitions, legal separations, child custody, child support, foreclosure complaints, quiet title, partition, appeals, motion to vacate and post decree motions. Criminal filings come to this office mainly through the Prosecutor's Office; individuals generally contact the Police Dept. when wanting to file criminal charges. Agency does not provide legal advice or forms for filing. Provides forms that enable eligible individuals to file a poverty affidavit which allows filers to file cases or documents without a deposit, but filer may be responsible for costs at the conclusion of their case. Poverty affidavits only apply to one case at a time.
