Provides the following permits, licenses, and inspectional services (individual department phone numbers are listed behind each description): rat and rabies control, environmental health, nuisance complaints, landfill, trash truck, well water, and septic inspections (225-4362); plumbing permits and inspections (225-4421); housing inspections outside of the Dayton city limits (225-4428); food service operator licenses, bar, grocery, restaurant, swimming pool, hotel, and mobile home inspections (225-4460); lead paint poisoning preventions programs, information about lead paint hazards, and inspections for the presence of lead paint in homes (225-5553); and vending machines, mobile home park, motel, and mobile food service inspections (225-5915).

Office is responsible for housing the vast majority of maps and infrastructure construction plans within the City. We maintain current city maps of all types, including zoning maps, flood zone maps, and ward & precinct maps. We also are involved with all aspects of the City's infrastructure, from plan reviews by residential and commercial developers, plan design for our own projects, construction inspection, and project administration and record keeping. We work with nearly every City division to provide technical assistance on their projects or mapping needs.

Provides the following services: processing building permit applications and payments, reviewing and approving plans and specifications for construction, issuing building permits along with stamped, approved plans, providing ongoing inspection of projects until completion and occupancy, offering guidance and helpful information on how to complete building projects.

Provides services to the county primarily overseeing the County Tax Map Department and the County Highway Maintenance Department.

Handles license / registration of contractors (general, electric, HVAC, fire), review of building plans to ensure compliance with code requirement (federal, state, and local codes), inspections of work in progress to ensure code compliance, review of citizen complaints regarding contractors, work performed improperly, etc. Permits such as building, electric, HVAC, sign, demolition, moving, fire detection and suppression, and swimming pools are issued through this office.

Issues building permits and performs building inspections for new construction or alterations in the City of Parma.

Issues permits and inspects residential and commercial buildings in Richland County and the Village of Crestline. Does not cover residences and businesses in the Mansfield city limits. Provides non-Residential/Commercial permits and inspections in Crawford County, including lectrical permits.

Inspects commercial plumbing sites and issues permits to commercial plumbing contractors and residential builds.

Provides building inspections and issues building permits for new construction and alterations in the Village of Bentleyville. Handles complaints about possible building code violations and oversees the demolition of buildings for the village.

Provides on-site septic system inspections and consultations, issues sewage permits, and investigates sewage complaints.

The Building Department currently handles all City of London building permit applications, inspections & finals for both residenctial and non-residential buildings

Supports the safety and quality of life for the residents and visitors of the City of Columbus through the enforcement of the Columbus Building and Zoning Codes. Provides information and approval on building permits, inspection, zoning and engineering process. Ensures proper land use, promotes high quality design standards as well as rehabilitation and reuse of existing City buildings.

Dispatches officers to the scene of a crime in progress or an emergency incident (call 911). Dispatches officers on non-emergency calls (call 937-233-2080). Also investigates crimes and reports of missing persons, and investigates incidents of alleged police misconduct. Serves residents of Butler Township only.

Maintains land records and provides construction permits and demolition services for the township. Offers inspections of construction projects to assure compliance with zoning laws and adopted building codes. Takes reports of possible building code violations.

Responsible for the enforcement of laws which related to the construction, repair, demolition, removal or relocation of buildings or structures as well as the installation, alteration, repair, use and operation of heating, plumbing, lighting, ventilating, refrigerating, electrical and mechanical appliances and equipment within those structures. Establishes and enforces zoning regulations which classify land within the city for specific agricultural, residential, commercial or industrial uses.

Inspects and reviews building plans and documents, issues permits, and ensures that the construction and alteration work performed meets the standards defined by city codes and regulations.

Receives reports of building code violations; responsible for building inspection and building condemnation/demolition when necessary; issues construction permits for properties in the City of Brooklyn.

Serves as the building department for all the townships and villages in Medina County as well as for the city of Wadsworth. - Provides building permits and building inspections. - Maintains roster of online forms and applications. - Enforces building codes and governmental standards for commercial and residential structures in their service area.

Conducts building, electrical, housing, zoning and various other types of inspections of structures within the City of North Ridgeville. Registers specialty permits to all contractors and general public applying to develop within the City of North Ridgeville including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.

Provides enforcement of building codes, zoning, and home maintenance regulations for Geauga County. Checks all plans for new construction within county limits and issues building permits. Does NOT develop zoning codes or issue zoning permits: that is up to the individual townships, villages and cities.

Provides housing inspection and code enforcement services for the City of Maple Heights. Issues all necessary building permits; also issues garage sale permits.
