Regulates the subdivision of land in the unincorporated areas of Ottawa County. The Commission staff may assist you with questions regarding subdividing land. We may also assist you with questions about zoning and floodplain issues in Ottawa County.
Hold title to all county property, serve as the sole taxing authority for the county, and control county purchasing. Fairfield County Commissioners are the budget and appropriating authority for county government. County Commissioners also have statutory authority for providing water and sewer services as well as solid waste (trash) disposal. They hold hearings and rule on annexations.

Commission is responsible for the administration of the Knox County Subdivision Regulations; administration of the Knox County Floodplain Regulations; administration of the Knox County Airport Zoning Regulations and all amendments to township zoning resolutions, both text and map changes.

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating development in Fairfield County.
Administers the Licking County subdivision regulation, reviews and updates zoning resolutions and maps for townships and municipalities, assists in the evaluation of land annexations, and provides long-range planning for townships and villages. The office also administers the flood plain regulations, soil erosion & stormwater regulations, and access management regulations.
