The Licking County Health Department works to prevent disease transmission and protect the quality of surface and ground water by performing inspections, enforcing sewage regulations, and providing education to homeowners.

Provides water and sewer to the City of Bedford (obtains the water from Cleveland.) Provides discounted service based on income eligibility for those age 65 or older or 100% totally and permanently disabled and own and occupy the home. The Service Department will snake out the sanitary sewer from the house to the street providing a proper cleanout is installed outside the house.

This includes the following townships: Austintown, Beaver, Boardman, Coitsville, Canfield, Jackson, Milton, Poland Township, and Springfield. Service is also provided to the villages of Craig Beach, New Middletown, Poland and the City of Campbell.
