Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) | Geauga County Department Of Emergency Services

Coordinates and trains local teams who wish to help in response to local disasters. Type of activities will vary depending on the situation. In some cases, individuals may be referred to existing organizations or teams who have been mobilized to deal with a variety of emergencies or disasters.

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) - Perry | Perry County Office Of Homeland Security And Emergency Management

Trained individuals that are prepared to respond to both natural and man-made disasters. CERT educates the community about disaster preparedness CERT is a 20 hour course designed to teach citizens how to take care of themselves and their neighbors for 72 hours (3 days). Teaches basic first aid, fire suppression, search and rescue, and preparedness. With this course, citizens can be part of the County Team to help people after disasters and assist emergency responders.
