Provides emergency animal rescue for injured animals. Will also respond to the needs of those who provide emergency and supportive care to animals during all phases of a disaster.

People utilizing the warming center should expect a room with access to restrooms, chairs and possibly tables.There are no beds or dedicated sleeping areas. There will be no food preparation areas. These facilities are only intended to be utilized as warming centers.

Provides daytime access to heated facilities during times of extreme cold for people who are temporarily at risk for exposure due to a power failure, fuel shortage, road closure, homelessness, or other situations which make them vulnerable.

Offers immediate assistance for victims of disaster (such as fire, flood, weather) who have no other resources. Mainly helps with immediate needs and generally only during the first few days or weeks following a disaster. Provides assistance such as temporary shelter (usually up to three days), food, clothing, crisis counseling, and possibly one month's rent or security deposit. Flooding must affect the main living areas and not just the basement. Does not provide help for secondary related problems such as flooding from sewer backup, does not offer replacement/repair of items such as furniture, appliances or a furnace and does not provide food replacement or other assistance needed due to power outages. Does not assist those forced out of their home due to a Carbon Monoxide issue, unless forced out in the middle of the night and in immediate danger, then will try to assist. Provides cleaning kits (mop and bleach) to victims of flooding.

Provides replacement funds to Food Assistance/Food Stamp recipients who have lost food due to a power outage, fire or governor declared emergency. Replacement funds may replace up to, but not exceed, the client's monthly allotment of food assistance. Funds are sent by electronic transfer to the recipient's Ohio Direction Card.

Reno Fire Department will be open 24 hours a day Saturday (longer if needed) to provide respite during the heat wave.
