Provides a referral service to help families find appropriate child care options, including child care centers, and licensed individuals who provide child care in their own homes. Provides consumer education materials on what to look for when selecting and evaluating a child care program and quality child care indicators. Support families in finding child care financial assistance options they may be eligible for and navigation of application process.

Provide temporary shelter for single women and women with children who are homeless. Length of stay is 30 days with goal of moving to stable housing. Assistance with finding permanent housing and other resources.

Offers public and professional education and distributes printed information regarding the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and stroke. Provides information about local CPR instruction classes.

Provides older adults and their families with services and supports needed to stay as independent as possible. Comprehensive assessments are performed and referrals to services are made based on that assessment. Programs include Medicare, Medicaid, utility, and housing forms assistance when needed.

Provides financial assistance, information and support to cancer patients and their family during cancer treatment.

Refers individuals with aging and/or disability related issues to appropriate available services in the community to ensure that individuals' needs are fully met. Helps individuals find help for housing, transportation, in-home care, long-term care and other health and wellness services. Offers an internet-based, counselor assisted program that helps older adults and individuals with disabilities file for public benefits. Includes Healthy Start and Healthy Families, Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), child care subsidies, food stamps, voter registration and more. Provides benefit navigation, assistance with Social Security and Medicaid applications, and Social Security benefit analysis.

Provides a toll-free phone service for those facing mortgage foreclosure. The client calls a central phone line that then connects them to other agencies that provide over-the-phone mortgage foreclosure counseling. After being transferred, client will be given advice on how to deal with or avoid foreclosure. Individuals can also visit the website to begin an online counseling session. Counselors are HUD certified and can act as a third party if the client needs to contact their loan servicer. In cases where there is little chance of saving the home, counselor will advise on strategies to minimize financial loss.

Education and information on accessing and contacting programs that are available to help low income consumers stay connected to their electric, natural gas and telephone utilities.

Provides resource services to individuals and their families, who are hard of hearing or deaf. The Center provides information on deafness to business organizations; provide consultation and workshop services. Advocacy and Case Management are also provided.

Provides assistance with Medicare consultation and insurance information, agency referrals, home visits for Home Delivered Meal client assessment, educational and health-related programs, non-medical home care agency listings, community resource lists and caregiver consultation and education.

Provides 24-hour call center to answer questions about cancer, treatment, resources, programs, support and informational literature. The Road to Recovery provides transportation to medical appointment for people with cancer.

Provides advocacy services and information and referral services for physically and mentally disabled people in Medina County. Offers Ombudsman assistance with complaints about services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Collaborates with the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Catholic Charities of Medina County.

Tobacco cessation program to help pregnant women quit smoking and stay tobacco free after baby is born. Women who enroll in the program, quit smoking and remain tobacco free after the baby is born receive free diapers for 12 months (voucher to Walmart each month).

Offers a network of support for military families in all branches. Provides information and referrals on education, counseling, financial assistance and legal assistance. Offers information on benefits and entitlements before, during and after deployment. Also offers support and assistance to service members transitioning to and from active duty. Assistance includes information and referrals regarding Veteran Benefits, employment resources, emergency financial assistance and other deployment cycle transition issues.

Provides information, support groups, education programs, respite activities, workshops, and advocacy for olders adults who care for the minor children of adult relatives. Coordinates a network of providers who serve kinship caregivers and their families. Offers programming for kinship children and teens including a summer camp and other opportunities throughout the year.

Provides two clinical nurse specialists who can answer questions about cancer medications, services, and support groups available at the hospital.

LASCO will provide bed bug information booklets to qualified callers. They do not provide one-on-one legal assistance but these booklets will provide information for renters on what to do and what to expect as it relates to tenants rights.
