Provides census data and census questionnaire information services. Census data is gathered every 10 years. Census Data: - Collects statistics about the nation, its people, and economy. Conducts surveys on behalf of various Federal Government agencies on topics such as employment, crime, health, and consumer expenditures. Census Questionnaire Information Services: - Provides telephone and web-based information about how to complete Census questionnaires during the periods of time the Census Bureau is conducting its survey. Collaborates with public libraries and other community organizations that offer free computer access to the public.
Conducts the census survey to count the United States population once every decade, on April 1st of years ending in zero. Also conducts surveys on a variety of topics, such as economics, government, housing, and demographics, throughout the year.
