Offers a cancer education center and lending library of books, CDs, and DVDs. Medical librarian provides technical assistance on gathering information about cancer via the Internet. In addition, maintains a file of cancer survivors who may be contacted for peer support (either by individuals with similar cancers or by caregivers).
By statute, the Law Library provides a professional legal collection for judges, prosecutors, attorneys, and county officials, as well as assistance to the general public. Reference Services Policy: The Law Librarian will assist users in the location of information and materials needed to support legal research and offer instruction in the use of these tools. Reference service does not include performing research for the user or the offering of legal advice or opinions. The Law Librarian may offer library services to assist legal professionals in their research efforts, but they are not authorized to give legal advice or practice law. The user will remain the person solely responsible for the quality and quantity of the research regardless of the amount of assistance provided. Likewise, the user is solely responsible for any advice, counsel and conduct with respect to his or her client(s).

The Local History Library houses information on family history and historical documents from the Miami County area. The research library features books, maps, manuscripts, wills, land records, etc. An extensive microfilm/fiche catalog includes county marriage records, census, birth, death, and many other records.

Maintains a resource library with materials available to the public and teachers. Holdings include materials about active teaching, arms control, conflict resolution, critical thinking, diversity, energy issues, environmental concerns, global security, international relations, military spending, multicultural issues, nuclear power and proliferation, nuclear waste, war and peace, youth violence, and bullying prevention. A program about environmental issues includes use of a large balloon and exercises to develop awareness about the environment.

Provides the largest American history research center in northern Ohio. Holdings consist of 235,000 books, 25,000 volumes of newspapers, 30,500 rolls of microfilm, 1,000,000 prints and photographs. and more than 3000 collections of manuscripts and archives. The focus of the library is on the growth and development of Cleveland and that portion of northern Ohio once known as the Connecticut Western Reserve. Maintains ethnically specific genealogies and archives as well. Provides periodic genealogy classes.

Holdings focus on the Arts and Sciences, Humanities, and Engineering; the collection includes books, journals, periodicals, and numerous electronic resources. Special collections include artifacts, the history of Cleveland, government documents, science and technology history, fine arts, manuscripts and dissertations. Also is the location of the Kulas Music Collection - collection includes print music, periodicals, books about music, music theory, composers, music history and related topics.

Provides one of the few professional social work libraries run by a school of Social Work; the focus is academic and research based. The 35,000 volume collection includes books, professional journals, social work abstracts, agency files, periodicals and a variety of media materials. Although it is primarily for use by the University community, it is open to the larger social work community and other interested community members who may get a limited borrower's card.
Offers a Lending Library with resources relating to bipolar and similar disorders. Many titles and topics are available. Items may be checked out one at a time on an honor system. Occasional book discussion groups may be offered occasionally.
