Provides a health resource center open to the public. Holdings include a video resource library, printed health related materials and a database of community service contacts.
Houses an archive of print, audio, visual and digital media relating to the musical, cultural and financial history of rock and roll. Collection includes a variety of books, posters, newspaper clippings, personal letters, financial records, CDs and DVDs. All materials are non-circulating.
Provides advocacy and support to the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered) community. Offers resource material, such as brochures and other printed materials on topics such as health and wellness concerns and coming out/questioning issues. Also provides a mechanism to record hate crimes that have occurred in the service area as well as providing support, information, and referrals to appropriate services for victims of hate crimes. Supports the passage and enforcement of laws and other social measures that protect and promote the rights and interests of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender individuals, cross-dressers, and people who are in the process of coming out or who are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity.

By statute, the Law Library provides a professional legal collection for judges, prosecutors, attorneys, and county officials, as well as assistance to the general public. Reference Services Policy: The Law Librarian will assist users in the location of information and materials needed to support legal research and offer instruction in the use of these tools. Reference service does not include performing research for the user or the offering of legal advice or opinions. The Law Librarian may offer library services to assist legal professionals in their research efforts, but they are not authorized to give legal advice or practice law. The user will remain the person solely responsible for the quality and quantity of the research regardless of the amount of assistance provided. Likewise, the user is solely responsible for any advice, counsel and conduct with respect to his or her client(s).

Holdings consist of 235,000 books, 25,000 volumes of newspapers, 30,500 rolls of microfilm, 1,000,000 prints and photographs. and more than 3000 collections of manuscripts and archives. The focus of the library is on the growth and development of Cleveland and that portion of northern Ohio once known as the Connecticut Western Reserve. Maintains ethnically specific genealogies and archives as well. Provides periodic genealogy classes.

Includes records such as local government records, birth and death records prior to 1909, land use records and plat maps, past real estate appraisal cards, marriage records, old dog licenses, and old area directories. Available years depend upon the record.

Offers a Lending Library with resources relating to bipolar and similar disorders. Many titles and topics are available. Items may be checked out one at a time on an honor system. Occasional book discussion groups may be offered occasionally.
