Works to coordinate planning to address the problem of homelessness, and studies proposed solutions, including recommendations of outreach workers and the homeless themselves. Available to make presentations to community groups regarding homelessness, often with a homeless or formerly homeless person participating in the presentation. Hosts regular meetings with homeless people to inform advocacy position. Publishes regular updates on public policy issues.

Provides supplemental food vouchers ("nutrition cards," similar to EBT or debit cards), nutrition education, counseling, support and referral services to eligible women, children, fathers, and kinship caregivers. Also provides a series of printed guides to Islamic practices for specific types of agencies such as correctional facilities, hospitals, and schools. Provides speakers for organizations who wish to be informed about Islam and Muslims in America.

Provides non-partisan information on local, state, and national candidates and issues; publications on a wide variety of local, state, and national public issues; and speakers' bureau. Publishes annual directory of local, state, and national elected officials (available in March); also offers study committees for members and educational forums for the community and members.

Schedules a physician to speak at a local site on any number of wellness or health-care related topics.

Can also arrange for student field trips to local stream and provide equipment to test water quality in them. An in-class presentation on macro invertebrates is also available to help prep students for this adventure.
