Operates as a Regional Trauma Organization (RTO). Manages a regional trauma registry and is responsible for submission of trauma data to the state of Ohio Trauma Registry on behalf of our hospital members in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 4765. Receives trauma data from hospitals in 33 of Ohio's 88 counties. Provides statistical data to area hospitals, governments, researchers and injury prevention groups on trauma trends in Central and Southeast/Southeast Central Ohio.

Conducts research to determine community needs and whether they are being met. Gathers, maintains, and interprets information about the service utilization patterns within Geauga County and provides data regarding duplication of services and service gaps. Reports are used by public and private planning bodies as well as health and human service providers for consideration in resource allocation decisions.

Provides a membership association for area health care institutions that focuses on maintaining financial viability of member hospitals, developing and addressing the future needs of the area's health care workforce and maintaining the health status of the community. Accomplishes these goals through research, political advocacy, and appropriate collaboration with other community organizations. Offers recommendations and physician referrals.

Provides solutions to the most critical issues throughout Butler County by working to prioritize and maximize contributed dollars so as to make the strongest impact possible on areas of greatest need and for permanent improvement.

Regularly studies human service sector trends and conducts research on nonprofits to better understand the sector. Provides nonprofits and the general public with information about key issues of common interest to build organizations and the human service sector.

Maintains urban planning, engineering transportation and other statistical information concerning Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina counties. Provides access to reports mainly dealing with transportation and environmental issues (limited to water quality of navigable rivers, streams, and creeks and transportation related air quality) as well as other government planning documents, census reports, environmental impact studies, and other related materials.

Conducts applied research to develop and evaluate service programs for older adults. Provides licensure and training on evidence-based programs.

Through the main site, educates the public regarding issues of hunger and poverty with publications and research studies. Works with federal, state and local entities to find long-term solutions to hunger. Through coordination with other agencies, ensures that children and caregivers receive education about proper nutrition, meal planning and healthy eating habits.

Computes and provides Labor Market Statistics Data for the United States, State of Ohio, Ohio Counties, and Ohio's largest cities.

Collects statistics on incidents of anti-gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intimate partner/domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking. Assists the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs in producing two annual reports on the prevalence of hate and bias Violence and intimate partner violence in the LGBTQ communities.

Collects and analyzes human services data captured at the neighborhood level in Cleveland, for each city and suburb in Cuyahoga County, and for other areas in the 16-county region. Results are made available to individuals and agencies for planning purposes, and are distributed via the website and, in some cases, in printed publications. Special research projects may be undertaken by request.
