Training occurs in such areas as personal hygiene and grooming, daily living skills, health care, use of leisure time and the development of prevocational skills. Our goal is to augment and maximize each person's independent functioning in all areas of their lives.

Provides services for clients to find gainful employment or training. Specific services include: counseling and planning, personal and work adjustment training, vocational training, training supplies and books, financial aid to attend post-secondary classes, artificial limbs, braces, eyeglasses, hearing aids, psychotherapy, physical therapy, wheelchairs (if needed to work), occupational supplies, placement, small business development, and follow-up on the job. Also helps disabled students who are transitioning from school to work or college after high school. Some of the above services are provided by other agencies through a referral process.

Offers an empowerment group to enhance social skills and increase independence of participants. Group facilitates meetings and determines activities. Activities include social events, fundraising and volunteer opportunities.

Provides a series of classes in 25 sessions that show participants how to prevent and/or manage diabetes and pre-diabetes. enable adults to make lifestyle changes that will improve their overall health and reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The program is supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Diabetes Prevention and Control Alliance, and other national organizations. Topics covered include nutrition, getting started with physical activity, overcoming stress, and staying motivated.

Provides a program designed to build a care plan that includes screening and assessment, information and referrals to appropriate community services, companion care, adult day support or assisted living and coordination of care between medical social services and other providers. Program is facilitated by care navigators, geriatricians, and other professional staff.

Provides a summer camp for children with various levels and types of disabilities. Campers participate in daily riding lessons, trail rides, arts and crafts, outdoor nature projects, and educational demonstrations.

Parenting group focusing on positive ways to parent young children. Child sitting available if needed. Classes are seven 2-hour sessions from October 7- November 18, 2021held at Alta's Campus of Care location at 1960 E. County Line Road, Mineral Ridge, Ohio.

Provides services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Clark and surrounding counties. Services include: assistance to deaf individuals who need help understanding and managing tasks that require English, such as bills, letters and phone calls, working with bureaucratic entities such as HUD and OJS, and appointments (e.g. with a doctor); basic adult education groups to improve daily living skills such as managing money, health equity, navigating transportation, and making effective use of technology; vocational assistance to those who would like help finding employment; social events to communicate with one another prevent isolation; and workshops open to deaf and hard of hearing and family and friends on issues of importance to the deaf community.

Offers a support group for adult caregivers of individuals diagnosed with cancer to provide education and emotional support for those helping someone through any stage of their cancer journey.
