Provides group residences for adults with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities. Offers 24-hour supervision and supportive services, including medical, nursing, psychiatric and psychological services, as well as a full range of therapies, dietary services and vocational counseling. Also provides day programming services to residents of NCC Solutions, Inc.

Provides information on autism spectrum disorder and low-incidence disabilities. Offers a lending library on autism spectrum disorder and low-incidence disabilities. Library includes a collection of assistive technology devices that are available for loan to parents and educators.

Investigates alleged abuse and neglect of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Provides services for clients to find gainful employment or training. Specific services include: counseling and planning, personal and work adjustment training, vocational training, training supplies and books, financial aid to attend post-secondary classes, artificial limbs, braces, eyeglasses, hearing aids, psychotherapy, physical therapy, wheelchairs (if needed to work), occupational supplies, placement, small business development, and follow-up on the job. Also helps disabled students who are transitioning from school to work or college after high school. Some of the above services are provided by other agencies through a referral process.

Provides grass cutting and snow removal for seniors and those with disabilities.

Sponsors regular dances and other social events for those who have disabilities.

Provides formal supervision for those awaiting trial or on community control (probation) as ordered by the court. Supervises probationers and monitors compliance to the conditions of their probation as well as providing other services such as referrals for social services. Specialized probation services provided for those needing intensive supervision such as those who are mentally disordered offenders, mentally retarded offenders, and sex offenders. Places offenders into drug treatment when needed. Provides case management for those in drug treatment and acts as a liaison between the court, client, and treatment facility. Also supervises persons in the work release and home detention programs.

Provides scholarship funds (up to $20,000 annually) to reimburse parents of children attending special education classes, having physical disabilities, or using special education services from private providers.

Offers bus and rapid transit services providing downtown trolleys service, rail service, and Park-N-Ride lots. Regular and discount bus passes and farecards are available. Daily Pass, 7-day, and monthly passes are available. 5- ride also available. Provides free rides on election day.

Provides presentations on autism and its impact on families to various community groups and classes. Offers support to various community and organizational events by hosting a table with brochures and information on autism.

Provides case management and coordination of needed home care services in the following areas: medical transportation, emergency response system, personal care, homemaker services, home delivered meals, and chore services, including laundry service. Services can be requested individually or combined. Can provide limited home bathroom modifications for safety. Does not include skilled nursing services. When program is full, assists those on waiting list to find needed services in the community. Chore services and limited bathroom modifications cannot be assessed without using other services.

Maintains information about community resources that are appropriate for individuals with developmental disabilities. Links individuals who are in need of specialized services with appropriate resources.

Provides legal assistance to parents who have children with disabilities and who are concerned about a lack of appropriate education or about (threats of) suspension and/or expulsion from elementary, middle, or high school.

Offers a volunteer-led, professionally-supervised, educational, and recreational outdoor-based program for youth. Youth become part of a troop and participate in activities such as camping, canoeing, hiking, and model building. Scouting for youth with disabilities is available through group homes, organizations that work with these youth, or by joining traditional troops and packs.

Offers an empowerment group to enhance social skills and increase independence of participants. Group facilitates meetings and determines activities. Activities include social events, fundraising and volunteer opportunities.

Subcontracts with local business and industry to provide a variety of paid work opportunities, including light assembly, packaging, and bulk mail fulfillment. A nonprofit business operating with the Vocational Guidance Center and the Willoughby Workshop.

Offers a variety of behavioral health services to address the needs of children, adolescents and their families. Services include child and adolescent psychiatry, counseling, developmental behavioral pediatrics, psychology, ADHD, feeding disorders and cerebral palsy treatment.

Provides legal assistance to parents who have children with disabilities and who are concerned about a lack of appropriate education or about (threats of) suspension and/or expulsion from elementary, middle, or high school.

Provides monthly support and discussion groups for persons with disabilities. Discusses disability-related problems and issues.

Provides a variety of structured, supervised overnight summer camping programs that feature recreational and educational activities such as swimming, boating, horseback riding, arts and crafts, natural science, and wilderness survival.

Maintains public streets and street signs and offers snow removal on driveways for seniors.

Assists individuals with mental illness with accessing needed supports and services in order to enhance daily life skills. The goal is to improve independence in the community and reduce the impact of mental illness on daily functioning.

Provides case management and helps connect people with disabilities to funding sources and providers of services like Homemaker/Personal Care, Transportation, Day Habilitation, Vocational Services, Occupational, Physical, Speech and Non-Traditional therapies, Behavior Specialists, and Psychological and Counseling Services.

Offers an inclusive early childhood education for children with and without developmental delays. Provides speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, family services and education.

Offers a searchable database of local skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, and providers serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Ohio.
