The cancer center offers a variety of support groups, which provide patients and loved ones opportunities to interact with other other patients, to educate others learn more about cancer and to help cope with the diagnosis and course of treatment. The Resource Center is open to the public any time the center is open, no appointment is needed. Many support groups for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers are available.

Helps women undergoing cancer treatment to cope with the appearance-related side effects of treatment and to regain a sense of self-confidence and control over their lives. Education, information and support are provided in group sessions at various locations. Volunteer cosmetologists teach make-up techniques and provide complimentary cosmetics and skin care products. Use of wigs, turbans, scarves and other accessories is also taught. Participants are given a make-up kit with new cosmetics to take home.

Provides a support group for those that have completed cancer treatment, such as chemotherapy and other related treatments. Individuals may be in remission.
Provides short-term one-on-one support to help individuals cope with the impact of their own or a loved one's cancer diagnosis.
Helps connect women in Ashland County without insurance to resources which cover costs of routine mammograms, such as BCCP (Breast Cervical Cancer Prevention) program. If a program is not found, then through University Samaritan Medical Center Women's Care a mammogram can be scheduled and ACCA will pay for it.

Provides a free synthetic wig for women with cancer related hair loss.
The Patient Navigator program helps patients, families, and caregivers navigate the many systems needed during the cancer journey. A Patient Navigator will: *Provide individualized assistance and support to patients, survivors, families, and caregivers; *Facilitate access to American Cancer Society information and services, as well as provide access to additional community-based resources; *Provide support and practical assistance in navigating required systems, such as financial, health care, and social systems; *Provide information and education about the cancer journey; *Assist in identifying strategies that help to ensure a better quality of life.

Provides oncologists who treat a broad range of conditions, including blood disorders, gastrointestinal, thoracic, breast, coagulation disorders, myeloma, head and neck, sarcomas, lymphoma, central nervous system, leukemia, and diseases affecting bone marrow, including anemias.
Offers a free week-long day camp for children affected by cancer. Activities include crafts, outdoor play, and other therapeutic activities.
Provides a wide range of weekly or monthly support groups for those with health conditions or social desparity, and their families and/or caregivers. Provides a therapy program that includes Healing Touch, Reiki, massage therapy, reflexology, and short-term counseling. Each program is designed to provide comfort, relaxation, strength, and peace to those in active cancer treatment. Therapies are provided by licensed, experienced therapists who are dedicated to supporting cancer patients. Services provided up to 3 times for the duration of treatment (such as surgery, chemotherapy, and/or radiation). TVC also offers support groups, art therapy, exercise classes, nutrition, arommatherapy and many oters, specifically geared for canver patients, survivors and their families

Offers a cancer education center and lending library of books, CDs, and DVDs. Medical librarian provides technical assistance on gathering information about cancer via the Internet. In addition, maintains a file of cancer survivors who may be contacted for peer support (either by individuals with similar cancers or by caregivers).
Offers patient and caregiver support groups, educational classes and programs, expressive and creative arts, music therapy, children's support programs, special events and retreats for cancer patients and their caregivers, as well as friends and family of those living with cancer.
