Provides support groups for parents/guardians and children, where there has been a death of an adult loved one from cancer. Includes age specific group activities and a concurrent group for parents/guardians.

Provides information and referral for breast health and breast cancer; services include current information about breast health and breast cancer events and resources in Northwest Ohio and grant funding for education, screenings and treatment.

Can aid in costs such as transportation to and from cancer treatment, home care, child care, pain medication and lymphedema supplies for breast cancer patients and copays for treatment. Financial assistance does not cover basic living expenses such as rent, mortgages, utility payments, or food.

Yellow Cab to transport patients to and from cancer therapy and cancer-related medical appointments. This service receives no government funding. Therefore, the Clinic requires that cancer patients apply for additional transportation assistance (Medicaid, Senior Options). Government funds must pay first. However, the Clinic will continue to provide limited transportation service only until the patient is picked up by another resource, or will continue service if the patient is not eligible for another resource (under 60 for FCSO referral).

Memoriam fund to assist breast cancer patients and survivors. Provides financial assistance to those experiencing hardship as a result of breast cancer journey. Funds can assist with mammograms, diagnostics, and household bills.

If you have been diagnosed with breast cancer and reside in Licking County, enrollment in SASS offers you the following: - Educational Support: including information and referrals on mammography, self exams and educational programs for young women on prevention and the benefits of early diagnosis. The program also sponsors and promotes fundraising in Licking County focused on breast cancer awareness and prevention. - Personal support: including details on services such as cosmetic care, prosthesis, lymphedema care and transportation issues. Information on local breast cancer resources and classes are also made available through our quarterly SASS newsletters. - Social Support: including opportunities to connect with other women diagnosed with breast cancer and access to events such as dinners, informative workshops and local support groups. Also available are mentor relationships as well as the SASS email group and Facebook page for networking and sharing with breast cancer survivors throughout the county.

Connects patients to various resources including financial assistance, transportation, support groups, wigs, prosthetics, and anything else the patient may need. Also connects individuals who are looking for various cancer screening programs in the area including breast, skin, and prostate.

Provides assistance to individuals diagnosed with cancer and/or their loved ones with completing, filing and/or appealing decisions with regard to their medical insurance claims.

Provides a wide range of weekly or monthly support groups for those with health conditions or social desparity, and their families and/or caregivers. Support groups offered include: a variety of cancers, brain injuries, obesity, heart disease, stroke (adult and older adult groups), idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), and hydrocephalus. Also offers social support for those in bereavement.
