The AARP Foundation Grandparenting Program strives to ensure that grandfamilies have the resources they need to strengthen their health, finances, and family connections. The Grandparenting Program provides national and local level information and referral for grandparents in their varying roles (with a special emphasis on grandparents who are raising grandchildren), and works collaboratively with a wide array of organizations, corporations, and individuals to increase outreach, resources and services for grandparents. Services/Resources: - Newsletter and Other Free Materials: A free quarterly newsletter for grandparents caring for grandchildren is published and available in English and Spanish, along with various other materials providing key information for grandparents. - State Fact Sheets for Grandparents and Other Relatives Raising Children: State-specific fact sheets that identify public and private resources available to grandparents and other relative caregivers at the state and local level. - Local Grandparent Support Database - The only nationwide, searchable online database of supportive programs and services for grandparents and other relatives who are caring for children or facing visitation issues.
