Mini Cobra - State Continuation Law | Ohio Department Of Insurance
Provides information on workers' and employers' rights and responsibilities under the Ohio state continuation law (referred to as "mini-COBRA") covering the continuation of health insurance for up to 12 months following certain qualifying events (job loss, reduction in hours, etc) that cause an individual to lose eligibility for coverage. This program is for those working for US-based private employers of 20 or less employees. Continuation coverage is administered by the employer at group rates that are paid by the participant losing eligibility.
